Again you generalize. A pre-order can mean many things, usually it is just a discount, but now we ARE recieving it a day before release, because those who bought it at gamestop recieved it early. Some = / = all.

We are still recieving it before retailers.

Nobody said anything about being FIRST. That would be the Beta participants anyway.

Read this thread and others. Quite some people are already bitching how they havent gotten the game and they pre-ordered. While game is out in retail and torrents.

My message to them is this. Chill and dont preorder if you cant handle it. Pre-order dont mean you get it first. It just mean you pre-ordered! and thats all.

And tbh i can tell you that where i live release dates dont matter much for stores, if they got the game in the back they will sell it to you.

Games like this will always be out in retail and torrent before they are available for download. So again if people are going to bitch and moan about how they havent gotten the game and they pre-ordered, they should cool down and realize that pre-orders are always last to get the games.

Its like in the old days before download servcies. People freaked out when there preorder game didnt arrive in the mail the day it was released in stores. I mean wtf do people expect?

i'm on a 10mbit line getting 1.2mbyte /sec

so will take approx 40 minutes if you have the same connection as me, some of you on 20mbit connections will obviously get faster ^^ gits!!

Maybe they are trying not to bottleneck with the huge amount of downloads.

Its like the Quake Live waiting line, its there to make sure everyone has a good experience.

Game downloading at my max capacity, they are probably bottlenecking the downloads. Allowing people in as the first ones finish so that nobody gets slower downloads.

Just got my mail. Believe I ordered 1st of april. Hope everyone gets theirs soon and when you do, don't worry to much about the download time, it's very fast!

I just wish stardock had an estimated time until finish, like steam does.

Well, calculate it yourself :P  (Time each tenth of a percent, then work from there -- once you have the time for .1% the rest of the math is child's play)

Problem is, too many people see 'estimate' as 'written in stone'; it's easier to not bother.

The pirate bay has a shitload of torrents up, I don't know why you can't find them.

I don't really know why anyone would pirate this game though - that would be like pirating Battlefield 1942, you get all the content but not multiplayer - which is where the heart of the game stands.
