Suggested Poll for suggested UI Improvements, Gameplay Mechanics, and Game Options

Well I tried making a poll, but I am too much of a nub. Anyone else wanna take a crack at this? I think it would help the devs figure out what the community wants prioritized. Yes. I stole this from another post.


UI Improvements:
- Show the numbers on HP/Mana bar
- Keep target unit HP/Mana bar displayed till they die or another command given
- Display target HP in the middle on top -> Most players center their view and can't be looking at the bottom right
- Let us be able to see allies items and skills, that way we can help them.
- Colors of players on the mini map, not just red and green.
- Ping on mini map
- Clicking on mini map to move Demigod to location or to view the area
- View shop without being in an area near it
- View skill tree on death
- Right click displays selected units. Show HP, Damage, Armor.
- Remove gray screen when dead.

Game Mechanics:
- No AI bots in multiplayer
- Balance -> What those are I won't mention but the game can still use balancing
- Increase Demigods movespeed, not gamespeed. Maps are to big and they move to slow.
- Make creep circle bigger
- Different creeps for either dark or light side
- Teleport by clicking on Mini map
- Allow teleporting by simply clicking an area and not having to click a building
- Supporting (Sedna for example) gives low favor points
- When all opposing team leave, declare winner
- Make it easier to target allies
- Map appropriate for game mode
- Better ways to move around the map.

Game Options:
- More Demigods
- Map maker
- Tutorial
- Replay fuction -> To learn from your mistaken and also improves and builts a better community with people sharing
- Random a Demigod
- 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, 5v5 automatching system
- Allow to enter game with friends
- New modes if possible
- Game sorting /filtering and refreshing
- Voice Chat

I agree in all of these points. Some of them are so easily applied that i wonder why they aren't in allready.

Well the shop has so many tabs and items, there isn't many oppurtunities so look at the items unless returning home or shopping.

I hope u meant left click, i donot want to lose target of my demigod while trying to attack a target

The speed is fine, if you really want to get from 1 side to another quickly, buy TP scrolls. Not all maps are gigantically huge.

- Colors of players on the mini map, not just red and green. - sure if it's easy
- Ping on mini map - would be nice but not high priority
- Clicking on mini map to move Demigod to location or to view the area - yes that would be convenient
- View shop without being in an area near it - don't really care

Some suggestions of my own:

- add "Loading" to loading screen, or loading progress bar.  I was seriously confused as to what the screen was doing.
- some of the loading screens aren't completely lined up to the center. The loading screen that has the Demigod logo on it is not lined up right... the loading chevron looks off-center to the text and the Demigod logo.
- don't reset my camera when I die.  I liked my camera zoom and angle just fine when i set it up for play... it pisses me off that I have to fix it every time I respawn.
- put play time in game, so I know how much time I've spent sucked in this game... kind of like TF2 and how it records the amount of time you've spent with each class
- put a time elapsed counter in game, not just at the end.  would be fine if I could even see it while I am respawning if at all.

I noticed you mentioned you need more functionality with the Mini map, such as a Ping and the ability to order your Demigod to a location by clicking on the mini map.

Demigod uses the strategic zoom feature from Supreme Commander - Zoom out, issue order, Zoom in. Using the mouse wheel is more fluid and stops you from playing the whole game on the mini map like you do in other RTS Games. Clicking the on the mini map to issue orders is not needed. The mini-map is more about looking at who owns what flags and where the enemy are currently assaulting than it is about providing a way to issue long distance orders.

And we do currently have a ping. Move your mouse cursor to the location you want to ping and press P. For example, highlight your Citadel and press P and the Ping will appear on your allies mini-map. What I would like to see is different kinds of pings, such as one for Attack, Defend and Need Assistance and the ability to determine who is allowed to use what pings pre-game.

My suggestions:

  • A Return to Game Browser option at the end of a Custom game.
  • The option to Return to the Game Lobby at the end of the a game, to keep playing with the same people.
  • A column for the Ping of each game in the Custom Game browser.
  • A timer or display of when the next wave is due.
  • A display for my Alies HP/MP. Think MMO style display, only smaller.
  • A better in-game chat interface. It took me quite a while to figure out Shift+Enter to talk to everyone.
  • An online page/reference of each characters skills and items, so I can plan new builds in a Web browser as opposed to having to play a skirmish game just to look at numbers. Look at Worldofwarcraft.com's Talent Calculators for their classes - that's pretty much what we need.
  • The above Ping idea.

- More and different unitis..

Why are more items needed when half the current ones aren't even useful?

 

There needs to be lots redone so that there is more variaty.  When you have 4 items that basically do the same thing, then usually you're going to say "okay this is the best one early on for this purpose, and this other one is best later on for this purpose.  Don't ever need to bother with these other two" like now.

 

Also move speed is fine.

yeas need to combinate the item for more variety like dota... for example if i have all piece of an amour i give an extra points..
