I cant play a game i just bought

Was it a waste of my money?

       I just bought DemiGod and i could play one round and then i had to get off, Then next morning i got up and i clicked skirmish and it was loading so I went to play another game for an hour and when i went back to DemiGod it was still loading saying connecting to lobby like it did when i first did it. The same thing happens with the other game type. Any one else have the same problem or know what to do? I allso played the beta because i preorded the game and it never did any thing like this. And if it helps i got the game mailed to me.

Yea, there's a number of people reporting this. We're working on it even as I type.  Should be fixed up for those who can't get it to work in the next few days.

Hang in there... the game is worth it.  In the meantime.. go brush up your skills with some AI players in single player.   Single player can pretty much be just as fun as multiplayer.

Several questions:

1) Where did you purchase the game from?

2) What version of Windows do you have?

3) Firewalls, are you have firewall issues?

4) Do you have all your PC drivers updated?

5) Is your game a legit copy?

when you get that disconnecting/conecting to lobby.  Chech the connection dialog box introduced last patch.   If there is a person who was unable to connect to someone, just disconnect and try joining a new game.

 

Several times a day it takes a longtime for me to get into games though it's gotten DRASTICALLY batter in recent days now that more and more people are figuring out thet networking thing.That's why I play the game in windowed mode... since staring at loading screens is terribly terribly boring and this game loathes Alt+Tab, i go and surf the interwebs and forums until the game begins.

Re-install and update the game then try again. make sure you have all the latest and greatest drivers for your system.

You have to port forward for multiplayer? I remember I was unable to host a game in Warhammer 40k because I can't port forward

I only tried multiplayer once i woudint mind if i coudint play multiplayer as long as i play single player but i cant play either of them

If you can't play single player then something is wrong with your computer. 

As suggested, uninstall the game.

Make sure you have the latest video and sound card drivers.

Reinstall game.

Launch Impulse and make sure you have the latest Demigod patch.

Play and have fun!

If it's still not working after then then contact support directly with your exact error messages and such.  But make sure you do the above first.

What do you mean you cannot port forward? It is easy as pie to do.

I had these problems on friday, but yesterday and today i havnt had any issues connecting or playing games online.

Okay, thank you for helping i fixed it so I can play by my self I reinstalled it and it seemed to work.
