Regulus Mines require simple fix

One at a time to maximize strategy

Why is it that when I increase the rank of Explosive Mines, I throw more mines but my max amount of mines doesn't increase?  I'm fine with only being able to have 6 at a time, but I dont like being forced into using three in one location.

I need to put more points into the skill to maintain their effectiveness as the game progresses, but throwing three at once hinders my ability to be strategic with them.  What if I want a few in each lane?  And what if I don't want them next to each other but spread apart?

I would suggest the cooldown reduced on the mines or removed entirely, the set-up time for the mines increased slightly (that is the time between when the mine is laid and when it can detonate; note if you lay a mine right under someones feet there is a delay of around 1.5s before it will go off), and allow Regulus to lay one mine at a time, thus fully preserving the strategic element of this ability.

There probably also ought to be something on Regulus' HUD showing how many mines he has active so its easier to tell when one's been detonated.

Although I can see where you are going with this, having him toss three mines at once is amazing.  Against generals with a good amount of minions, one toss of mines + one other aoe from another demigod will completely decimate his entire army (and him, for that matter).

Considering that they don't cost too much mana, I don't think it is a huge issue.  I feel like the trade-off of only being able to cast 1-2 at a time would be a huge nerf to the skill even if it gave it a bit more utility.

See thats another argument right there -- I think Regulus' ability to crowd control needs to be scaled back a little bit.  Not being able to use mines like an AoE spell, as well as demanding some more intelligence out of the player I think is a fine way to curb him a little bit in that area.  As it stands, mines do seem to be more of a rather effective AoE than an actual trap and that's not something Regulus should have, especially considering he already has exploding arrows to deal with clustered units.

Because, you can lay 6 down faster than do more dmage now.

The 6 limit is fine.  That's 2700 dmg or something.  It's a very powerful ability.

It used to be more like you described in beta, and it was awful then.

It would be nice if they weren't being used like hand grenades...

A delay before they'll "arm" might be interesting, but at this point does no seem nessisary.  It's more effective vs. demigods to get someone to run into 6 of them anyways.
