Sold out at gamestop

The 3 gamestops near my place, boston, has been sold out of Demigod since launch(1 week).  Are they going to get restock soon?   I know they broke the street date and maybe you are still working out some deals with them.  It will be good to restock them soon as it leads to loss sales.

Want to know the secret to Gamestop being sold out?

Unless you pre-ordered the game, every Gametop only gets _one_ retail copy of Demigod.

There's always the chance that it was a Gamestop employee who bought that 1 copy as well, so the store never had any non-reserve copies to sell in the first place. o_O

I'm surprised Gamestop still supplies computer games.  Every year I go in there, their PC section gets smaller and smaller.  And the above poster is correct. They typically order in 2 copies of a PC game per store and don't reorder for a month usually.  I hate going into gamestop and feeling like I'm just an insignificant customer because I'm a PC Gamer and not console.   So I go to them as last resort.

I went to EZ Games right next to my place..they had a total of 40 copies and I was lucky to get the LAST ONE ;) (it was collector..no original ones were left ;))

Bought it for 45$ canadian dollars (collectors)

So about 30$ less than Impulse online store (to include shipping & handling of couse).

I wish Gamestop the worst of luck restocking.  It would be nice if Stardock didn't let Gamestop have any more copies until they apologize, but I don't see that as being relalistic.

Ya, I'd have to agree with Chuck on this one:  Why purchase from Gamestop?  They're a very poor company to deal with for PC games or for any gaming information or games in general.  Sure they sell games, but they've got absolutely no information for any questions presented to them or any help to their customers.  When entering those stores and purchasing something from them, they try to "presell" atleast 2-5 other games to you, magazine issues, and/or other things.  The overall experiance reminds me of the junk box in my email.

To purchase the game there's two suggestions:  1) Digital download via Impulse  ot  2) If you want a box version, find a store that isn't a mass company that's in it solely for the money and nothing else.  I know a place called "Hastings Entertainment" which is a really good store which is where I purchased mine from.  If you got one of those near ya, check it out (they're way better and more knowledgeable than Gamestop and/or Walmart).
