Hey Stardock I have a few suggestions on ways to improve Demigod.
I would first off like to say that I find this game a lot of fun and far better than DOTA (I really do not like DOTA at all but I am a huge fan of the AOS genre). I am very happy with my desicion to purchase this game and it is well worth the money I spent for it. I do however, feel as if there are areas of the game that can be improved, making the overall experience a lot more fun.
My first concern is that it feels as if the movement speed of all the Demigods is just painstakingly slow! Also it would be nice if it was easier to see enemy Demigods when there is a huge battle going on (with the exception of Rook of course hehe) Some of the smaller Demigods are just plain hard to see in the midst of battle. The smaller Demigods simply just do not stand out enough when there is a large group of units.
I also think that the Demigod maps can be improved. While they are sleek and pretty they just don't offer up enough options and strategies. In games like DOTA (I just use DOTA as a reference because for some reason it is the most popular AOS) there are multiple paths ELEVATION CHANGES trees and other sorts of decorations. The trees however are more than just decoration, a team can coordinate an ambush hiding behind the trees awaiting an enemy player.
Another small gripe I have is that I would like to be able to cast spells on myself (mainly healing spells) by clicking on my Demigod's portrait. It would sometimes be easier (going back to the hard to find Demigods in battle complaint) and quicker if I could just click on my Demigods portrait.
I just feel as if a few design changes can improve on an already great game. Why not give players more options/strategies with elevation changes and ambush positions? Another small gripe is that I wish when I clicked on a player I could see his inventory and other basic information.
Those are my suggestions/complaints that I have noticed after a few hours of play. Feel free to post your ideas and complaints as well.
