if you've run Demigod before (ala. you've just patched it), then search for a file called game.prefs and make it migrate to the Recycle Bin.

if, however, you've not run Demigod before, then you'll have to list your;

• graphics chip,
• specific driver version,
• current flavour of Windows used.

that should give us enough information to tell you what to fix, or point you in the right direction.

Has the game worked for you previously?  I have mine installed on a Win7 machine and after updating my sound drivers got this message.  Uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it started working again.  Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall?

Typically that error means that either your video card does not meet the game's minimum requirements (no Shader Model 3), or your display is not at least the size of the minimum resolution (1024x768).
