Known Bugs:

  • Some ships do not have names or are improperly named
  • Colonials still glow occasionally

If you have any ideas for abilities, or want to report a bug, please post here. I will try to keep you up to date on progress.

v0.96 Changes

  • Entrenchment v1.05 compatability
  • Fixed String not found errors for the Galactica's colonize ability and the Worldstar's extra squadrons ability
  • Temporarily removed the custom static defense structures, so there will not be any more bug reports about the meshes reverting to the unmodded forms
  • The Cloud 9 is now correctly called the Cloud 9
  • New weapon sound effects for the Galactica+Mercury

Please, if you play this, report back here any balancing problems, particullarly in terms of research.

For some reason, I got a victory message when the Cylons were down to about four systems and still had a couple of basesships left, which was odd... but the game was more or less over anyway.

That's just the AI surrendering. Sometimes it will do that even when it still has planets, etc. Glad you managed to get it updated.

is the mod still playable with 1.04?

ru7h the OP states it is for entrenchment 1.03, if you place the mod AND patch in a mods-entrenchment v1.03 folder and use my mod updater 1.181a it will play in 1.041 with a single string error

I keep getting a runtime error 419 when i run the manifest maker on step 5, does anyone know why?

edit: nvm i fixed it.

error 419 according to the vb6 dev environment is to do with file/folder permissions, possibly to do with read only.

what was it that you did to fix the problem?

oddly, i just checked all 3 things in step 2. Mod, entrenchment, and sins. Before i just had mod selected.

Great mod, I enjoy it because I'm a big BSG fan.

But I discover three problems playing Cylon:

-with the Worldstar Class Carrier: the Enhanced Hybrid shows "String not found"

-when the number of pirateships drops at four my fleet stop attacking them

-the Beam Defense Platforms seems to ignore the pirateships even it show that it attack them

SoaSE and Entrenchment are up to the last patches

I am glad to say that the tutorial, given one page back, does work with 1..041,if anyone is still wondering or thinking about trying it out :)

Even I,who saw harpos tools for the first time, managed to do it eventually so i can play the mod again :)

For anyone who also comes into this cold, ie, without an existing installed 1.03 version to install, I got it working by...

- Installing the latest updates for Entrenchment and Sins.

- Creating a new directory in the mods directory labelled 1.03 instead of 1.041.

- Unzipping the main v0.8 file to the mods 1.03 directory and copying over the v0.81 files into each directory

- Running Harpo's v1.181a Mod Updater on the 1.03 directory, outputting to the 1.041 directory. It updates about twelve files.

- Running Harpo's v1.181a Manifest Maker on the 1.041 directory.

- Launching Sins, running Entrenchment, enabling and applying changes.

Anything else seemed to crash the Mod Updater with a Bad File Name error message, or Sins crashed when 'Apply Changes' were applied.

kingspartan,

the tutorial is almost correct, the only issue I have with it is that the manifest maker HAS to be run on EACH of the mods in the 1.041 directory.

Kyogre, can you please give me some instructions on how to set this thing up. I currently have version 0.5 which with all due respect, sucks. When I try to scroll over something, it's either not there or the info appears off the screen. There are people out there playing the mod so that is why I henen't given up hope on it just yet. I'm not what you would say savvy in the moding and installing areas. I don't have windows vista but I do have XP. Also I have the latest version of sins which says it is 1.043 or something similar. If you or harpo or anyone else could pleeeeeeeeeease give me some advice on what to do or tell me just to give up my dreams of playing Battlestar Galactica on Sins.

I can never seem to get the mod updater to work

Anytime I select the 1.03 folder, and click the button to set destination, I get a Run0time error 52.

Um... yeah, you're a couple versions behind. I'm on v0.81 now. Use the File Dropper link in the main post to get v0.8. A page or two ago Harpo posted a link to the patch to v.0.81. Replace the necissary files with the patch files, then follow the instructions in KingSpartan's post #512 to use Harpo's updater to make the mod playable with Entrenchment v1.04.

Thank you kyogre, you truly are a hand of the gods. I don't have time to try tonight, got to get up early for work. I'll get started as soon as I can tomorrow, though.

By the way, just so I don't screw anything up, what files should I replace with the patch files and how do I copy them over the old files?

You either read the readme file or you just extract the folders Gameinfo string and textures inside the Mods-Entrenchment v1.041/Sins of the 13th Tribe v0.8 folder and when it asks for you to replace you say yes to all.As easy as that assuming that you know where the mod folder is :)

Trust me it's not.You just need to put in a efford yourself too.

But if anyone has the capabilties to upload the files he wants,go ahead.i have no such abilities at the moment.(connection blows)
