They appear to be circumventing the measures that were taken somehow. It's being investigated.

Well, i hope you can finally ban them because what they are doing now is questioning your authority with this kind of behaviour.

a guess would be that when they unbanned socialist_ryan, they unbanned them as well?  No idea really though... I know without a doubt that socialryan was banned for a time...

edit - perhaps it was an IP ban...

OK...here you go...once again...I would love to know who to report this dysnc error to. The player in question is Lukinarik. We are winning...and then of course...interesting enough..this player tries to quit...and a desync appears. Getting old playing this game and this kind of thing happening. I certainly hope someone out there at Stardock is seeing this.

Ok. I hate to complain without some sort of an idea to solve the issue. So here you go.

Solution:

Release a Standalone server piece of this game with a traditional lobby. Someone disconnects or screws with thier files...no desync. They are just gone...with a loss and an asterisk.

Many other companies have done this in the past and even certified servers as ranked. There are plenty of hosting companies out there that rent a server for VERY cheap per month. People tired of this desync and players ruining thier experience would shell $10.00 or so a month to have a dedicated server to offset this kind of thing.

You are wrong Iron. I dont think people would give 10$ a month  just to see 1 of the game's problems go away. Lot of people have left the game for good and some are about to leave anyway.

Also, Stardock released this game with no intention of a dedicated server.

Besides people from GPG are trying to resolve this. Sorian (GPG developer) told us about 2 weeks ago that he has a lead for this problem and it is being worked on. I believe it might get fixed some time.

We have waited a long time for it to get fixed, i think we can wait a little longer.

Check out this player's game list. It's very suspicous. He has too many incomplete games. Most incomplete games are like 30-50 mins long.... Some are longer than 60 minutes. Can one suspect that he somehow manages to make them appear incomplete whenever he loses? And it looks like he's doing this intentionally.

I'm amazed there were only 2 people reporting about this ( one in the "Hall of Shame" thread and one in the "Multiplayer support" topic). Please fix this issue. I don't think it's fair for people who play by the rules.

Good god I'm happy Apika and Belier aren't playing anymore; Apika's last game was November 2nd and it was the same for Belier; they shared their last game actually. Praise god for that; I think we can honestly say they've been banned.

I can't believe Apika is ranked second in the world as Regulus and one-digit numbers for other demigods too. That is complete and utter crap that a cheater could get that far.....not in any way Stardock or GPG's fault mind you, just saying.....it's so unfair to everyone else that they screw up games and get the wins. They are amongst the worst kind of vermin in this world.

I have had a desync when my internet had a random crash, but I don't think it gave me an actual recorded victory; I hope not. I would hate to have a win that way. I couldn't care less personally if my win percentage was 0%; at least I'd be having fun playing the game and finding friends to play with.

Reading that quote that Belier/Apika wrote just proves how disgusting they are. Good riddance to them being gone. Sorry if this sounds flammatory, but I deject cheaters with a passion. And desyncs are really messing the community up; for someone like me (and many others) who is still new to the online community, I don't have a clan or friends to play with in password-protected servers; and the fact that I go to bed when the majority of players wake up doesn't help. Exploiting newer players is like toying around with a child and playing on their sense of innocence to further your own needs.
