Yay island, most of us don't have fibre optic connection so I doubt we will even match your speed.

Far from being the best score... but one should not expect too much from Telstra, always charging top dollar for less.  I currently pay $79.95 per month for 30gb DSL1 @ 1500/256kb.  To say I feel ripped off doesn't come close... they overcharged me around S300 on equipment (router, wireless cards) I could have got elsewhere for $170

Won't be like that after Feb 2010... contract is up and I'm switching to another ISP with phone and 80gb @ 8mbs per month DSL2 for $49.00 AUD

These are my different scores between Cable & DSL.

Cable speed TestCABLE.

At&t DSL speed TestDSL.

Sorry, just wanted to show the difference between the two.

DSL just 'SUCKS'......

Okay, so I changed my mind, especially seeing some of the low speeds.  i see that the speed does change alittle depending on the loacation.

Depends on the server used. Speedtest servers have trouble accurately testing our Internet at work.

While it's obviously got nothing on some of these, I find it's fast enough 90% of the time. I do cry though when I'm downloading those 2gb files. ^_^

EDIT: I wonder why my ping sucks so bad.

Interesting - this isn't the file download speed I'm actually getting, hmmm...

The rest is due to me almost being out in the country ;)

Mine is the same as ID's.  RoadRunner 20Mbps with Turbo Boost.  Ramps up to 30 on large DLs.

Mine has been faster,I usually get great speed from the Chicago server. Not today.I blame Cyber Monday.;)
