Morph: Not to dissapoint, but... not much has really happened, tho I plan to ask her out tomorrow, and confront her so called friends about exiling her from the group... also, her girlfriend, Hannah, told me that "You and Mishayla would make a cute couple".  Promising, yes.

Will:  Hm, sounds interesting.  I'll have to get back to you on DoW.

Xer0 \^/

Excellent. Soon you will become a fine Aspect Warrior.

Not much has happened, even though you plan to ask her out tomorrow? Well, best of luck. You are truly the best man for her.

"I don't grin like a moron, I grin like a sociopath." | YES, I TOTALLY JUST QUADRUPLE POSTED. SUCK IT UP.

Anyway... not sure if DoW is my speed.  Too much difference in unit comparison, type, and overall functionality.  Might be why I'm losing at Empire: Total War... anyway, thx but I have to turn you down on your offer.

not so random question: Any particular reason you keep trying to "recruit" me?  I'd probably be more of a hinderance than a pillar of support right now.

Well, knowing morph he's expecting huge dramatic stories about how I rode up on a bright white stallion and whisked her away from the imminent threat of a fire-breathing dragon, carried her to safety and then defeated the dragon in order to prove my dedication and love to her.

Hm

Why was that soo easy to write?

Then I must get you addicted to something else; perhaps the Dawn of War series? Semi-Random Question for you: how much do you like FPSes and/or combat space sims?

OMG guys! 8O WTF is wrong with you all? TEAM FORTRESS 2 FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D   = Best online FPS ever! This game was created to provide pure fun, and some good laughs. Playing with friends, and other familiar people on TF2, with team speak, is really really awesome for me.

Whiskey: I dont want to start a huge discussion atm, because I hate to go to bed pretty soon, (sun is already up, cant let the light of the day see me, its really unhealthy  ), so I will only say this:

Do you really think that you and a few other people, can make this happen?

At the BEST possible scenario I could ever imagine, was this: You design a perfectly balanced for everyone society, (not Utopian, but a lot better than the current one, i.e. kinda the one you described in your post), and you create a massive movement, (lets say 100,000 people), through the internet, kinda like the Zeitgeist movement.

After many years, you reach up to 1-2 million people (lets say, 10 years from now). Which is a pretty optimistic scenario, but w/e.

In order for your movement to actually start being set into action, more than 3/4 of the world's population needs to be on your side, and with that rate, it will take approximately 2000-3000 years....so yeah, good luck with that. The only thing for sure, is that you cant change anything within your lifetime, or even the lifetime of your children and grandchildren.

Ah, morph.  Such a pessimist.  You say change is impossible, yet people such as Abraham Lincoln, Mao Zedong, Adolf Hitler, Winston Churchill, Joseph Stallin, Mikhail Gorbachev, Ronald Reagan, all changed the world, some more drastically than others, but they did it in their lifetime's.  Nothing is TRULY impossible, the only things that are impossible are the things that we ourselves deem, and therefore make, impossible.

I don't think Skidi and Alena hate you more than Satan. Mostly because I don't think they think Satan exists.

Taikodom is a space-based MMO "social" RPG. It is set in the 23rd? century, and the players are formerly crygenically frozen people. Player death is dealt with by a cloning system somewhat similar to EVE Online's system.

Taikodom is Free-2-Play (F2P), with micropayment options for better gear (though IMO actual skills should trump gear).

re: skidi & alena: Ha ha yeah, I forgot that XD Anyway, its all good fun

re: Taikodom: Sounds a lot like EVE, and may I say that it cant be as good as EVE online, because: Free game<<<<Paid subsc game.

No, the guys you mentioned only CHANGED, the existing system. Only slightly altered the existing society. Nobody has ever created a whole new society from the scratch.

Our current society, is a result of many changes throughout the history of mankind, all based on the same fundamental core, which is of course: Forced labor work, and profit above all else.

However, Whiskey does not want to create something totally from scratch. So it is not impossible, not extremely difficult.

It just takes TIME. A LOT of precious time, so he can gather followers, and change everything as we know it. CHANGE it, not create it.

That said, lets be realistic here: Nobody wants drastic changes. People are so built-in to the system, that they cant think of anything else, and even the few that they want change, dont really get their asses of their couch to do something about it.

Anyway, its simple math, and always considering the best possible scenario, (again, being optimistic here, you cant possibly believe that Whiskey will succeed, but for the heck of it I am being optimistic), that it takes many years for such changes.

Oh, and Hitler was a Tyrant and the biggest racist ever, and all he did was to cause the biggest World War that we ever saw. But yeah, I guess that forced some countries to evolve technologically, since they gained so much from this war.

1. Why do you care about Jess' and Liz's friendship? Are they more important than your crush? Like Whiskey said, "Beat the hell out of them if they decide to do that. After all, they aren't particularly critical to your girl's happiness are they.", so basically remove any "obstacles" that stand between you and your crush.

1. Ha ha I knew you'd day that  Shattered Horizon = Space Combat FPS = Win for you ;) (oh and amazingly stunning graphics, right?)

2. If that were to happen, that would require technology to advance a lot, which means many years of research and new discoveries and inventions. =not in your lifetime.

3. If you say so, but then it is not a new global society, but just a group of people forming their own country, and that is NOT easy with the USA trying to control nearly everything in the world.

@morph- Shattered Horizon does have quite nice graphics; additionally it has realistic zero-gravity combat.

2. Not necessarily. Considering that technology advances at an exponential rate, it could very well happen in my lifetime (I hope it does)

3. Since Project Methusaleh is effectively intended to be an extensive human-body upgrade program, Earth isn't the only piece of desirable real estate. Mars in particular looks promising (now to design and make widespread a genetic sequence allowing humans to crack CO2 into O2, thus allowing them to breath it).

4. Excellent. *_*. I like it.

5. If it is successful would you like to join?

2. I think you're being very optimistic, in an unrealistic way.

3. Again, these genetic mutations might be possible or completely impossible, you dont know it.

5. Ok, to be honest, it will totally and completely fail, since you are gonna need a LOT of help, from some of the greatest minds of our time IMO. And I dont anything happening atm. I'm just being realistic here. However, if it is successful, maybe I would like to join, but not changing anything in myself, but rather help other people to do so. Yes, I would join (again, I dont think its possible, too far fetched in the future, IMO).
