Plz don't die out DG!

Plz don't die out DG!

Damn it!  This game has the best animations, music, sound effects, voices, humor... everything!  I'm getting bored and I know it's coming up on "that time".  Wish they'd open source it so we could put new DGs, items, etc in there.

My other beloved, Company of Heroes, was the same.  Best game in it's class, but as time wore on, the lack of patches and just plain short attention span of normal gamers shrunk the community to a small, but hardcore group.  The game becomes stale, with nothing new to stir it up, upset the most efficient (and most used) strategies.

Going to go cry while I download League of Legends to try...

I was hoping of course there would be something new!  Perhaps some new ideas, an expansion in the works, not perhaps too extravagant, maybe another demigod, or two, some new maps. Or updated tatics on the older dg's. Charge us whatever, but something new. This is a GOOD game....

Stardock and GPG need an expansion, charge me whatever you think is fair. It doesnt even have to be a big expansion, a moderate one or so, charge me $19.99 and stir things up again.

Yeah, we can dream, right? As far as expansions go, I would be quite satisfied with a map pack that added about 6 Cataract-size maps.  Throw in 2 more demigods, and I'd pay $20 for that.

An expansion would be fantastic, and I too would gladly pay $20 for it.  New DGs, new maps, perhaps an expanded single player campaign, all noted bugs fixed - that would be outstanding.  I still don't think new DGs are really necessary, but an expansion pack probably wouldn't sell too well without them.

League of Legends, huh?  I wouldn't mind trying it out, but I'm not a big fan of buying everything piecemeal.  There is a "Collector's Pack" for sale, which seems to give you everything you would have had to buy separately before.  But the game looks like a cartoon or cheap jigsaw puzzle from the screenshots, while Demigod's look like artwork or drawings.  I still can't believe they actually are screenshots.  If the gameplay were great then graphics don't matter as much, but it seems a bit overly complex as well.

Can anyone that has played LoL constructively comment on a comparison vs. DG?  Maybe specifically on some nice features that might be good to see in an expansion or DG 2?

Yeah, I think a few balance changes and bug fixes would give this game 100x more variety than say two new demigods... but I'd feel kinda lame paying for an expansion to fix bugs in a game I paid 40 bucks for... now new maps are another subject entirely.

Of course 100x is a rough estimate... It would really depend on if any new expansion demigods had completely worthless skill trees or bugged skills that don't work like the two free demigods they produced.  Also, knowing GPG, they'd make new maps with The Super Awesome Flag really close to the light team, and a So Shitty No One Really Cares About Capping It Flag closer to the dark team.

Oh God... I've gotten way too bitter over a video game haven't I?
