2 vs 2 tournament

2 vs 2 tournament

Hey, Im wondering if some of you would be interrested in a 2 vs 2 tournament. It would be played on either Crucible, Prison or Cataract tell me which one you think fits the best :D Another rule I think should be that only ONE tier 1 demigod is allowed in a team (erebus, oak, ub, rook). This will make people use the lesser played demigods aswell.

Another rule (Cowbuttzex's rule): The second demigod in your team will have to be either Reg, Tb or DA

You want to join but dont have a partner? Here is people to play with.

- tacoguyV1

-Passfail

-brandon_varn

-prozombe

-xXxXxAchillesTGxXxXx

-Maxsteel32

-Zen_God

-synnworld

-SmokingBalrog

-awuffleablehedgie (maybe)

-Maccilia

FINISHED TEAMS

Cowbuttzex and Teseer

Mithrandar and MCshane/renz0kuken/GM-Ninki

Shred_demon and an unknown

awuffleablehedgie and thudercles (maybe)

pacov and trousersnake

Are you interrested?

If so you can reply here and tell me your team.

I'd be interested in playing.  I have a 2v2 premade and I'd be able to sort out a 3v3 premade as well.  Only problem is I live in the UK so the timings might be a bit awkward if you're all Americans :P

Edit: I don't agree with your proposed rule about demigod choices...that's a noob rule imho.

naw - mixing things up adds to the fun factor, imo.

And Oculus and rook count as tier 2?

@shane

I even play 1on1 if i have to:P

I think 2on2s are the most interesting games. Here is the skill of the individual more important than group ganking. In 3on3 whoever gangs and supports best, wins... And with 3 GMs on one team I don't think there are  enough players to match that... One reason is that there are just not enough good players who play together. And even if, it's usually 2 people who play most of the time together. The other reason is teams of 3 are hated by the community and never find a game. They get either kicked from lobbies or 98% percent are too scared to play them and shout them out as premades...

I have two friends who started playing demigod last week. When we try to play a game all together people just shout us out as stupid premades and we never get a game going

I wish there was an option as a host to turn off win percentages...

I hear you on some of those points.  But I highly disagree about 2 vs 2.  Some demigods could just fight eachother all day in 2 vs 2 without getting kills.  I think the game is most fun when you are chaining skills together with multiple demigods to create beautiful music.  That's why I think if only it were possible to regularly play 5 vs 5s this game would still have way more people playing.

Glad to hear you convinced some friends to play.  I played with renzo and kollecktir for the first time in a while yesterday, and mithrandar I believe is still around, let us know when you're up for a game.

Rook doesn't on 2v2 Cata... :-/

I would be willing to jump in on this.

Also I think limitting peoples play style is crap.  Why not let people play there strongest suits?  Seems like your trying to stack the odds in your favor.

I guess we could try to hold another tourney too.  I have 500 dollars I can use for the tourney as well if need be.

Stack odds in my favor? Nah, this rule was supposed to get the weaker demigods in the game. Or else people will only play erebus, beast or oak. Very boring...:annoyed:

Also, are you saying you want to put your 500 dollars in a tourney?

I can def. see myself helping to set something up.  Money as well.

That is very VERY generous man. :D Are you planning to start your own tourny?

Edit: you sure you serious?:P

Exactly my thought.  However, know that cow suggested the rule and his partner teseer almost exclusively plays tb.. :)  But I agree with the generally premise to get >3 dgs in the character selection.  Imagine the excitement of oak and erebus vs oak and erebus over and over again.  Good job oak v erebus combo!  No big deal though.  Adding or removing dg's doesn't really put me at a disadvantage, but I personally hate games where I feel that I logically HAVE to be a specific DG to support the team.  For instance, in this tourney I'd have to be erb unless a rule is in place (and even then I might HAVE to be erb).  And guess what?  My partner would logically have to be ub or oak to compensate for the other team unless they chose weaker characters.  Anyway, I just find it more fun to NOT be the same dg all the time.

Pacov that is just what i feel aswell. In normal games I wouldnt care about having character disadvantage, but this is a tournament. If they got 2 tier 1 demigods we will need that aswell.

yea sry i couldn't play for the last few days because of a number of reasons but hopefully I will be able to play tonight

Zen_God just because you found new friends to play with does not mean you can just leave us all of a sudden. Get back on vent!!! You can drag your friends along too.

Almost exclusively Nuffin, I only play TB ;)

I do think it should be 1 T1 though. I hate any of those 3 together with each other and I'd say 1 out of 3 games its the golden trio.

okay, okay, okay...Oak Ere and Beast combinations might be a bit boring... :/

How about this then: only 1 tier 1 per team?

This means I can go QoT and my buddy can go Oak or Beast?

Well that was my original rule...

Haha didnt see that. Neither did mr shreddy i suppose:D

We totally need to get this going.

Sadly, I've run out of room to irritate my friends to play. After over a year or trying they're sick of hearing it, lol.

I think that sounds like fun.  And tier 1 consisting of oak, ub, or erb.
