Since you are here, and alive , I'm sure most folks would be very interested in hearing about not only Win 8/8.1 compatibility but if Winstep will remain backward compatible with Win 7, Vista and XP.

But of course, I'm from the same school of thought as Microsoft's Raymond Chen (backwards compatibility is a must). For instance, Winstep software was, AFAIK, the last software of its kind to abandon Win9x compatibility (basically I stopped testing it on Win9x machines only when nobody else but me was using it anymore, eh eh). It's still compatible with Windows 2000! :)

Jorge, I am so glad to hear that you ARE indeed still on the planet. As for your hiatus.. I still think an announcement would have been the courteous thing to do for us.

I'll be looking forward to renewal when you are 100% back in the thick of it then!!

Hey, Jorge  Glad to see you are doing better!      Any chance we will see the skinning app in 2014?

Any suggestions?

Why wouldn't it be there?

Where does one go, now, when one has a problem?

Been there for years.  That's why I'm here.  No Jorge, no moderator, nothing for over a year.

Jorge is readily available on Facebook. I talk to him almost daily, well, every so often...lol.

I don't do facebook and thus have rely on the Winstep site for news and updates, etc.... but like Greg says, there's been little to no activity in a while.  However, I've not had any issues and my Winstep software is behaving as it should, so all is well here.

I did read that Jorge had been unwell or had been in an accident, which is unfortunate, and maybe why the site hasn't received much attention, so hopefully he has recovered and is in better health nowadays.

How nice for you.  Maybe you can ask him if he can show up on Winstep once in a while.  If so, can he address the dozens of issues people have posted there.  If not, can he man up and let us know he quit so we (the paying customer) can move on.

You can pm him yourself right here on WC instead of "man up" type comments.

Been there.  Done that.  Nothing.  Hence the problem.

Note for those that may not know. To find him so you can PM him remember don't search for Jorge. Search for JcRabbit.

Your best shot for finding Jorge is facebook...he'll reply when he gets around to it...but sometimes life just gets in the way. ;)

It happens to all of us from time to time, those of us that are lucky enough can recover, over time, some of us don't.  :sun:

He can be on Facebook but not on Winstep?

Greg...Facebook is just one mouse click away from Winstep...is that to far for you? Keep in mind that Jorge has been solely responsible for the idea of...coding of...and production and continuing development of Winstep. He has been at it for years and he has tons of people hounding him daily over little things while trying to keep focus on all of that...and sometimes you just need to step away and try and have a normal life and not go nuts. Facebook is one click away. ;)

I know where Facebook is.  Which, of course, is not the point.  I didn't join Winstep to play with Facebook.
