Much to learn you still have young Padwan. Your emphasizing to much on Terran ships parts for Federation ships.  Do be afraid to utilize ship parts from the other races.

Thank You!  That opens up all kinds of interesting techniques and choices.  I assume that if you select all the parts it makes it easy to create groups of ships or use them for escorts.

 

Ive only played with the animation a little bit so far.  Is there a way to create non fluid movement?  For example a ticking clockwork effect, or a square movement pattern. (I want to use the angular blocky movement pattern on the more retro designs.

 

I'll have to dig thru the parts again to try to find a good bulbous nose cone shape for a really retro space look.

Hi folks making ships...  thought you guys might want to be aware of this bug affecting some of our custom ships:

I was going to wait until they fix this bug before posting my ships up to workshop, but since they won't fix it until August I will start posting my B5 ships...  just remember everythign is going to show up with scout icon

Alright, this has quickly escalated beyond the point where I can easily keep track of it all in my head, so I've had to make a text file listing people's forum names versus their corresponding workshop names. In all but 3 cases so far they have proven totally different. ;)

 

MacrossVFX222 - Super anxiously awaiting your designs, especially the B5 set! ... Please hurry! lol.

 

I'm sad TurielD hasn't been around for the Workshop launch... Hopefully he'll be back soon. (Btw does anyone have TurielD's .rar set from the CaptainGarand thread they could email me? The link in that thread is down now...)

 

There's also 4 people from earlier in this thread I PM'd already, but it's not looking good heh. I hate having to ask ppl to email me files, but I guess I should've been following this thread a year ago and done exactly that... Oh well, haha.

 

Amazing work everyone, love you all! I'm a programmer and designer but completely, hopelessly inept at this kind of art, so I appreciate it like you wouldn't believe. :) :) :)

I will upload more sips later. I am just very inexperienced with the workshop and it took me a week to find out how to upload the ships XD

 

Actually i am collecting the names of all the people in the forum here who are designing ships in the workshop too.

Yeah, i renamed all my ships, because i lost half of my fleet to a bug. But  thanks to the official support and the help of the community have got them all back now ;)

(Btw, some ships were named in german and it was to difficult to read them for the english speaking community XD )
