May I point to my suggesting here: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/325393 Basiclly to make effects scale according to damage/range of the spell cast. I think that would make a lot of improvement. Random effect parameters is another possibility but I am not sure if that's possible. Keep up with the great work!

I propose the loading screen challenge player a game of tic-tac-toe, and if they lose, they can't get in. Seriously I would rather have a chat window, depending on how long network play loads. On AI play I on't see the loading screen for 4 seconds... Ok I cheated because Demigod is installed on a fast SSD drive I have.
Strikersgun that's a huge scale but it's on paper. A sense of scale is not given by text description of the background story, but what's shown on screen. Currently Rook's size compared to buildings, and the smallest animate: minotaur is simply not conveying the sense of scale well. You would subconsciously tie a minotaur to human size. And in that sense, Rook is too small. There's no way you can fit 5000 minotaurs inside. Trees in Supreme commander thems
oh ok it only works if you are the op
The edit function works for me suprisingly. FF3.0.1 and Vista business x64
A true story according to some
I don't know whether there are plans to have different visual effects for a skill of different level. I do think effects can scale in size or visual complexity to correspond better to range and damage increases for higher skill levels to give the following advantages: i) Give a visual feedback on skill level ii) Make effects less repetative and boring iii) Make late games more epic with more complex/bigger effects.
Bring me the Pink Rook !!!!
It's not like this forum is flooded with bug reports, Kyrein that's a bit overreating. Plus it wastes no time for if you already know it's a known bug.
Agreed. When in doubt, options.
Well left clicking to move serves no benefits either. You can as well just use right click on an empty spot. I am more worried about the lack of screen edge scrolling. The maps aren't as big as in SupCom that scroll wheel strategic zooming out and back in again to reposition is counter-intuitive and weird.
Rook, Torch Bearer, Regulus, Sedna, Yoshimitsu, Oculus, Oak, Jenna, Porygon Guys tell me if I can't count... That's 9 so far isn't it?
I have always had download only order from Stardock, because shipping of the CD to UK is too expensive. I wonder, if I buy a Stardock game from retail channel with CD, can I obtain a download from Stardock with the CD key if I lost my CD?
Honestly, there are probably as many people who would outright refuse to use voice in public matches, as they don't care to hear random people trash-talking.
I definitely hate Xbox360 online where people just randomly swear and blabber But I am supportive of VoIP if we can blacklist people
Try downloading the latest DirectX 9 redistributable and Nvidia drivers and install them.
According to one of the design jornal or interview (can't remember exactly which) it is mentioned that there will be no 3D terrain in Demigod solely due to potential AI issue of firing into cliff and slopes.
The definition of the word assassin definitely has changed in the Demigod world.
Instead of a 'wading' perhaps your troops could do thier best to move out of your way (so large groups would be difficult to walk through)
Problem with that is more annoying than entertaining. Remember in SupCom how your group of enegineers would play bumper car with each other? Another way round this is a soft spreading algorithm instead of hard collision detection, that your troops will neve
Problem is all the 'serious' gamers hate randomness (for good reason, how are you supposed to test your abilities with random stuff popping up to put you on the defensive?)
A player's abaility should be also judge by reactiveness to certain unforseen threat.
Isn't Rook a general?
Well I am thinking of a quadrupedal perhaps even a flying one :) I am just saying we need a Demigod resembling in style to a colossus, big hairy beasts. We can't rip a colossus off anyway that'd be copyright infringement :P I still think Rook looks too small in the game as strikersgun points out. Then again buildings in the game are small and that distorts the scale. If you make a colossus in the game it would need to look bigger than the current rook to
I agree the sniping shot is too week. You can almost get the same damage using normal weapon fire and using items that speed up normal fire. I think sniping shots should ignore armor too.
Nice. Of my short beta testing of the game I found that mouse cursor will block the health numbers so you can't see them clearly. That definitely need fixing.
Anyone think Rook is still too speedy, especially its turn rate. It needs to feel much heavier and possibly mini camera shake effect when he walks.
Have anyone played the PS2 game Shadow of the Colossus? We need a demigod of that style.
