New ship designs DO NOT show up in the research tree when selecting the requiered tech for races other than terrans. ie: Select Yor as starting race. Select lasers in Tech tree. New ship design -Star Fury DOES NOT appear. Shows up if you are the Terrans though

sliders for war 100% spending 100% military 0% social 0% research highest taxation level you can go while keeping 51%+ approval The planet you captured the new buildings on it you acquired would be the drain on your economy, if they were upgrading or producing stuff. Either bulldoze un-needed structures and build economic - morale boosting structures instead or as someone else said sell the planet. You gained no extra tech as you
I presumed it meant the AI had been using espionage against you. Also other time i've seen it was when i was building influence starbases as well.
You can get planetary invasion within 15 weeks from week 1 with drengin. build 2 research factories - move research slider to 100% move spending to 100% Possibly can be done even quicker if you start off on a planet with a 100 - 300% research bonus tile. Or you could even get the 25% research reduction time bonus random event. The AI doesnt cheat you just havent worked out how to optimize your sliders.
'Influence flood' sometimes the enemy will take a planet then next thing they have their influence colour over the whole galaxy. May be linked to the planetary invasion bug as the computer gains an outrageously large population. Therfore gets major influence boost but need to verify that. It does return to normal after a few turns usually but by then one or two planets may have flipped allegiance.
As far as i can tell... Game length - longer = more score. Larger universes = more score More techs researched (especially technological win) = more score more galactictic achievements and special projects built = more score difficulty setting ie: playing on suicidal doesn't seem to equal more score which i think is very unfair. number of opponents doesnt seem to make make difference on score either.
1. umm not sure exactly what your asking but you have to take out any ships in orbit before you can bring troops in on transports to take the planet. Get troops ready in advance enough to take a planet out. (Check how many people on the planet beforehand) research up the troop invasion tech tree better class soldiers help. Make sure you can take a planet in one swoop with a couple of transports as if you have to bring another all the way from the oth
Seems to happen randomly just after one of my planets gets conquered but the whole map turns yellow influence. May be linked to the planetary invasion bug as the computer gains an outrageously large population. Therfore gets major influence boost but need to verify that. Is a savegame 'after' the influence flood has happened any use as i have one of these. bit tricky to get a savegame just before it happens but w
+1 for the influence flood bug for me too. After 1.0x.09 patch. Galaxy became completely yellow for no reason at all.
The AI seems to have improved somehow after the patch. The altarians sprung up influence spacestations all round my perimeter not even on resources just in very crafty locations and flipped my outer planets to them before i realised as had no long range sensors
Starting Locations How about a way choose starting locations for each race. I always have to restart each map at least 5x till we all get spread out evenly around the map. I always find we get huddled all close together and large portions of the map are empty. Would be nice to be able to start the enemy on the opposite side of the map or chose if you could have an ally near to you for example. <b

How about a 100% (max) and 0% (zero) button at each end of the sliders. I find myself maxing out and zeroing the tech/social/military sliders a great deal.
Ive had same thig happen donated ships sit there doing nothing. Definately not right im sure the minor race was within range too. When ai has given me ships i can always move them back to my part of the galaxy no matter how far away.
If you played on metaverse and submitted it you could compare it to everyone else.
True i forgot about the fact the ships may have gained experience already therfore have more hitpoints and are worth upgrading. As you seem to get hardly any credits for decomissioning old ships i never sell them just use them as planet defence cannon fodder against the enemy once they have 'adapted'. I still think globaly upgrading is more expensive than building new ships the only thing against is the extra time it takes to crea
Is it just me but does upgrading a ship you've created seem to cost too much money. I usually add new lazers, defence etc.. to an existing ship type ive created but when given the option to upgrade all the ships its always in the 1000's of credits and i just cancel upgrading and build new ships instead it seem to be cheaper. surely just adding a gun to an existing ship should be cheaper than making a whole new ship from scratch.</
How about a way to increase the amount of tiles on a planet. Ie: An advanced terraforming tech. Just being able to upgarde the yellow and green unusable tiles isnt enough really. Take mars for instance, making it have more than 4 tiles at some point would be very handy. As it is its just barely habitable. I usually leave it alone and just nick it back with a transport ship after another civilization has colonized i
When do you know that your population cap per planet has been reached? Obviously upgrading food/xeno farming helps population increase, but when is the time to do it? Does spare food get spread to other planets or is food requirement per planet only?
