There's k and there's K. I don't know the conversion. Which are you talking about, because I KNOW my connection is definitely NOT worse than dialup... at least for download speeds. Upload, maybe. It's DSL.

Unless we're talking something different, my upload speeds are only about 6K. Download is only 80K. So yeah, it's not going to work.

Wait, I just bought a multiplayer game that's probably not going to work well on my broadband (low end DSL) connection? Meh.

I'm not an expert on Demigod, having just bought it today, but it's my understanding that there aren't any American servers either. It's all client-to-client networking. You not having good pings to people just means you're not finding people who live in Europe to play with.
