I think its going to be difficult for any RTS to match the complexity and micro management of MoO3. From my perspective its difficult to compare the two. They are different animals so to speak. I can tell you that the economy is MUCH easier to use in Sins than it was in MoO3. You do research technology to build better ships and equipment. You can research planetary shields, fighter defenses, and such for your planet defense. Im slowly getting used to using tactics in my fleets too, ya

In Space Empires V, you can tag systems so your ships avoid them (Eg. black holes, bad nebulas or enemy areas) I cant seem to find any way to tell my automated trade ships to do that. Its allmost as if they are co

hey folks, I thought id add some "light" so to speak on the skybox modding, at least the stuff ive discovered. (hopefully not upsetting the old post stuff) If you look at the STAR_BLUE.entity file, it references several skybox mesh names. I changed the blue file to list only one mesh file reference. numSkyboxMeshNames 1 meshName "SkyboxBackdrop2" it seems they blend multiple mesh files to make the backgrounds. So by simplifying it down to one mesh, then
