You probably didn´t find anything in the node, because you killed the enemy in parts. I guess in your final attack the elven lords had to fight only 1 or 2 air elementals. If most of the enemies in the node have already been killed, you don´t get a reward for clearing out the last enemies.
I remember one game where I went into a node and the battle was a tie - everybody on both sides died. The next time I encountered the node, a message came up: "You have found a nature n
Great news, Frogboy. Just don't mess with the spells
I'm sure the introduction of a few new spells won't hurt if they are done right. * More summoning spells, maybe 1 to 3 in each school, including an Incarnation for each colour. Nature should be able to summon a greater variety of forest creatures. * Raise Volcano + Change terrain could change Tundras into other terrain. How about a new spell (rare, Nature) to make this change directly? * I have always wanted a
But for those people looking for a radical change, that's not going to happen.
A good plan ... but I'm sure that people would like to see Master of Magic with extra stuff that doesn't change the basic game. * Multiplayer. (Hotseat MP is easiest to implement) * More AI wizards in a game. * A few customisable game rules. (eg: wizards not defeated until last city is taken) * More ways to win - and the ability to pick the victory conditions apply in the current ga
Stuff I think needed attention in MoM: 1. 9-unit stack limit. This gets annoying when you have a big stack that must pass through a city that has another big stack and then you must move the units one or two at a time. If 9 units have enough movement points to get to a point, they should do so even if another big stack is on the path they would take. 2. Mopping up. If you are clearly dominant and have the game won, the mopping up phase of the game could take many hours. This co
It's good that they will probably develop MoM2, such a sequel is long overdue. The first thing I would suggest is for the game to be moddable, and possibly have scenario support. People have their own ideas over what that would like to see in MoM2, and if the game is moddable everyone can make their own mods and be happy. What should be moddable? Pretty much everything, really - opposing wizards, city names, heroes, spells, units, number of planes, graphics, terrain, picks per
If the project goes ahead, it would be a good idea to read the various MoM2 websites for ideas. I think an expanded game would be good (more spells, more heroes, more planes, multiplayer etc). Not everyone will agree with me, however. A lot of people like the original game just as it is and won't think much of new features except the multiplayer. If it was possible to configure the game so that all the new features were optional, you would get a MoM2 that plays like MoM, and that would
