I doubt they really matter. Most of the time the minor races get eaten up by the major races within 100 turns so it doesn't really matter what personality they are.
Lord Seyton
If all things are equal outside of the fighters then I would say the larger number of individual fighters would win. Or maybe it would come down to which side fired first?
Reminds me of a cartoon I saw in the local newspaper. Under the drawing it said "If Captain Picard were REALLY French." And the drawing was of Picard aiming a phasor at a creature with a quote "Set phasors to appease!" No, the Terran Alliance is definately an American thing. We're the only ones who'd be so smug that we'd conquer the planet and then call it an alliance. Actually, I think Microsoft will conquer the Earth financially and then rule the world through Windows
While I see the merit in excess production being carried over, it's not very realistic is it? I mean, if I build a house in Chicago and finish it two weeks ahead of schedule that doesn't mean that if I have a house to build in Phoenix that it will be two weeks along in construction after I finish the first house. Does the extra money spent on excess production go back into the treasury? If it does then at least you're not losing money. I don't usually pay all that much at
If I don't have a serial number for my *sigh* Russian version of GC2 and I get the US version of the expansion, will it be compatible? AND, will my new (and legally acquired serial number) allow me to get future updates for the game?
According to the EULA you're only supposed to put it on one PC. Of course, at least you can get updates unlike those of us unlucky enough to get stuck with the Russian version off eBay that claimed it was the US version factory sealed...
This may have been addressed before in other threads but I'm being lazy and will accept any "n00b" flames tossed my way. Soil Enrichment, Habitat Improvement, and Terraforming all add tiles to planets you currently possess. My question is this. Why can't you add tiles or rather, make PQ 0 planets inhabitable? Or why can't you make small outposts on those planets? That would certainly add an amount of strategy to the game. Right now, if I'm playing and I find
Heh, when I first played the game I grabbed EVERY planet regardless of PQ. I did kinda shy away from the lower numbers (1-5) but anything else I grabbed. I had close to 100 colonies by "mid-game" and yet as I looked at every UP meeting I had 1/5 the influence a culture with 6 planets had! I was like WTF! Then I actually went back and read the manual and it mentioned planet quality and stuff. Since then my strategy has been to grab every 15+ planet at first. Get my economy
I'm blind. BTW, how do you get all those interesting pictures at the bottom of your post?
Call me an idiot but I was under the impression that there would be one on this site or there would be a section where I could (or my game could) see new strategies in order to make the game better. I've yet to find one. Could someone provide me with a link or something? I'd really like to try new strategies as mine don't seem to be working as efficiently as I'd hoped they would.
