Like every new skill/technique picked up, it's regular practice after the first time you learnt it and visible reminders (like free posters that have the steps illustrated) that help you to remember the correct way do it. Just make sure to take the course again every 2-3 years if you can to refresh yourself. :)

Playing Spore for the past two weekends. :) I'm enjoying the design aspect of it. I like the cell to tribe stages, but don't really like the civ stage so much. Another thing: Got the patch notice but guess what, the patch just won't work. Dropped by the spore forum and found out that a patch is required to make the patch work. [e digicons] &n
I've been living in the same block for ten years and I don't know the names of my neighbours. We tend to like to keep our distance for privacy, since there's not much as it is in this crowded little island. Some of us just smile when we see each other in the lift, other than that, most people just avoid eye contact all together.I think if you actually say hi and how are you, people will actually get suspicious and wonder what the heck you want. It was the day the whole world changed. I'll never forget it even though I am half a world away from New York. I saw what happened on the news and all those images of that terrible day I will never be able to get out of my head.
I think I'm a really spoilt city person. I'm just about average in terms of income and health in my country.Lots of things are within convenient reach here, lots of choice in terms of food, and no natural disasters, and very few incidences of violent crime. When I was a kid though, we were kinda poor. We lived with relatives and Mum, dad and I had to share a bedroom. There were two beds and dad slept on a mattress on the floor. I had to be careful not to trod on dad in the morning!
I think gamers take things too personally sometimes. I fail to see what the big deal with Nintendo's comment is really. As usual, they just want to reach out to a wider audience. Maybe they could have put it across a bit better. Looks like a nice lot of titles coming out, which is what the wii needs. I think wii needs to get over the "what wii can do and others can't" mode and actually start being like the ds and be about playing innovative and fun games. For most part, it's the lack of
Welcome to JU. This is a great place to rant. Hope you have lots of fun here. :)
Condolences, Tova.
That is interesting. I never knew before where that word came from.
I know someone like that. God bless them, they are such a gift to us.
Disgaea 3 (PS3) Fallout 3 (PS3) Diablo 3- the only PC game I'm looking forward to, but it will mean that I have to buy a new computer since my current one is about 5 years now and can't even play any current games. Ha! Looks like I'm looking forward to all the sequels.
What I've learnt is that if you take comment as a hostile one, you would respond in equally hostile way and sometimes blow everything out of proportion. I would think most parents will naturally respond in that way if your initial comment implying about their "unhealthy" kid is untrue. If you had stepped back and admitted you don't know the truth of what's behind the screen, you might have avoided this whole unneeded drama. just my 2C's. <
LW: Hey! :HOT: I know about that site! Went by the nick of "Bluesky_" when I was there. You are right, it's the best poetry forum on the internet. I love their Blurbs of Wisdom section, where they have tons of guides on techniques. I tried to be active there for a while, but to be an participant takes quite some dedication. You critique 3 poems for every one that you want to post, and you have to try your best to be clear and give reasons for your comments. I did learn a lot there.
SanChonino, Roy, Momijiki, Cedarbird: Thanks for your words of encouragement and advice. Very heartening. :]
Have a great birthday, Dynamaso. :)
(This article is an extended response to MasonM's article " Perfection Is Overrated ".) When I started writing again a couple of years back, stuff just sort of flowed out of me like water. There was no effort and it was a joy to write, poems, stories, whatever. In my attempts to do well and to impress more people, I mig
I got this, along with Arkanoid DS. Space Invaders Extreme is the better remake, Arkanoid is really just the same old thing. They are both at bargain prices, so I didn't even hesitate getting both immediately. I took a while to get used to the "flashy" screen. I think there is an option to turn off some of the things going on in the play area. Essentially, it's modern and fast and cool, but in every way retains the basic Space Invaders gameplay with all the recognizable alien
There is a lot of truth in this article. I know I've over-strained myself to the point where I cannot create anything at all because I get so worried about doing it right or having it accepted by peers. I'm just afraid I'll fall into carelessness or laziness, and just have too much fun and not improving.
It will work out one way or another. No point pondering on could bes and maybes, in my opinion. It will be ok.
Hello and welcome. :HOT:
In no particular order: 1. Diablo 2 (PC) 2. Elder Scrolls III Morrowind 3. Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion 4. Steel Panthers World at War (PC -- it's free from Matrix Games) 5. NeverWinter Nights (PC) 6. Disgaea 2 (PS2) 7. Gods (Sega Megadrive, and unfortunately for me, lost to time) 8. Bioshock (Xbox360) 9. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (GBA) 10. Command and Conquer Red Alert
So cute and beautiful! Welcome to our blog community.
I don't know if those of us here who make known their religion usually go around touting it.
I don't know that either. I wasn't restricting my views to people in this community. Like most folks on JU, I live most of my day outside of cyberspace. JU doesn't represent the world at large, can you imagine.
It's not about religion.
Perhaps, if you prefer us to tip toe around uncomfortably to avoid criticizing 'God' in some imagined way. <
Excellent article.
I always find that people who go around touting their religion or who go around making known they are of such-and-such belief are the best examples what their religion should NOT be. It's not just Christians, although because they are encouraged to "spread the word" tend to be the most prominent of such. What is it about religion, that it makes people blind to their own obnoxiousness? /2cent
