Played a few more Pantheon matches. It still gives you weird teams (like 2v1 humans.. no AI) but it's a lot quicker. So it's certainly an improvement over very slow, almost impossible to get balanced teams. Now it's quicker to get games so u might get balanced teams more quickly.

More Pantheon experience! A 3v3 where one guy lagged too much (1k plus) so he quit therefore easy win. BUT there was a guy from Russia and one guy from California (I'm from UK) and that ran pretty much ok. Three 3v3s where it said everyone was connected but I was the only one in game. A full 3v3 where my team got our asses handed to us on a plate (3 Oaks is a rubbish combo!). And a coouple of CTDs. So from a 0/10 Pantheon experience to maybe... 4/10 exp
ROAR!!! I just had a 3v3 in Pantheon! Human players!!! First time in ages!!! Only took 30 mins to get a game. And no, I'm not being facetious cos 30 mins for a full game is helluva lot better than an hour with nothing. Thanks... for getting this game to release state now. Hard to know how grateful I should be for having to wait 5 weeks to get a game to this level but I thank you anyway. I'll try a few more games tonight and report back!
If you get into Pantheon, just go to score and see who has a 0 ping. Those will be AI. (well, you'll have a 0 ping yourself obviously....)
That's very disappointing cos I don't see the point in concentrating on fixes for Custom games. At least with custom, you have the choice of kicking people who you don't like the look of before you start. It's Pantheon that's the most important cos: a) you have no choice to whom you connect b) it's what Demigod is about (ie the battle between light and dark). But I'll see what my own experience is when I get home.
Hmm. Dungeon Sieges were fun but it didn't have the personality of a D2. The itemisation was just not fun. SupCom could have been epic cos of it's strat zoom and general good fun. However, bad multiplayer experience and crippling bugs for the first few months meant that it lost most of it's user base before it got sorted. Demigod is heading in the same direction but I haven't tried the proxy yet. When i get home and it turns out that Pantheon works fantasticall
Yeah no idea how xp works but last night, in between ranting on boards about how pantheon doesn't work, I was waiting for a pantheon match and then got connected.. and I saw that one of them was the infamous KOREAslayer!! Then I saw that everyone connected to each other and I was thinking, this game is gonna be great! My nerves were starting to jangle... And then the game crashed before launch. That was the most excitement I've had in pantheon for ages.....

I find that most people who complain haven't ever bought a Stardock game before. Those of us who have know that Stardock ALWAYS manages to come through in the end. They work their asses off and try to support the customer as much as possible. If I hadn't bought Gal Civ II and seen just how much effort Stardock puts into making everything run

I haven't had many issues personally (besides being able to play with random people online, but not my friends because they don't have router access, as MANY people do not) but I think that if the game is honestly unfixable, then maybe they should cut their losses, take it back to the drawing board, rewrite their netcode, and issue a rerelea
[quote who="ZehDon" reply="10" id="2217259"] Quoting MrBoingy, reply 8... I DO find the journals interesting but in reality, I just want a working product. Taking our money and telling us on a daily basis for 5 weeks that they're trying to fix it and still be in posession of a defective product is pretty much the same as having no feedback and having a defective product.... I understand your frustration - believe me - I too am stuck in the 5% not able to play their
People who complain are absolutely correct. We paid money for this product. It's been 5 weeks and still it doesn't work as advertised. Well, I take that back. How many people here can get 5 Pantheon games in a row that have fully balanced teams? If 80% of people can say, Yep, I can do that, then I can only conclude that my port forwarded router/ISP must be broken and that I am going to be one of those few that will never be able to play this game 'prope
Well, I've already said this in another thread but my pantheon experience is hopeless. Even if the connection screen (when you are waiting for people to connect) shows that everyone has connected to each other, the chances of everyone getting into the actual game has been zero. Why not just make every pantheon game 1v1? Yeah, that sucks beyond belief but at least it's: 1) Easier to connect 2) Ensures a fair game as long as you either get rid of all AIs.
Been trying for another hour whilst watching Independence Day on TV... Demigod MP experience makes that film look great!!! One game started. 2 humans+1 AI v 3 AI. Rage quit. I also got a new error message tho whilst trying to connect. A dialogue box that just had an OK button! I clicked it.
This is without doubt, the worst multiplayer experience I've ever had. Now bear in mind, the only games I play are RTS and MMOs, and I've been playing them since Ultima Online, that says a lot. I've tried to play for over an hour tonight. I've had 5 connections and NONE of them had a balanced team. I've quit all of them as soon as I started even if I was on the advantaged team. Not only that, every game I've been in, other people have been complaining about non-balanced teams.
For the love of god, please remove all AI from Pantheon matches. The connectivity issue is bad enough. The chances of everyone getting in and playing together is abysmally low. It's bad enough taking ages to get a game only to know who is going to win in the first second. Or just make all Pantheon matches 1v1.
From really bad to awful now. Took an hour to get a pantheon game and then it was a 2v1. No idea about custom games... never played one.
The older you get, the less fanboy you become cos that money you spent, you worked hard for. Not only that, you've experienced so many games that are simply unfinished at launch (SupCom was a steaming pile that basically memory leaked itself to oblivion at first and GPGnet... well.. less said about that the better) or didn't deliver what it promised (Aoc, WAR) that you get tired of putting up with it. You also get tired of people saying, yeah, it's really difficult so give the
At least you get 2v2s. My last 3 games have been: 1v1 (against another player) which didn't get registered. 3v3 with only me being an actual player. 2v3 where I have 2 AIs and the other team are both human players (altho looking at the stats, one of them isn't even listed as having played). Basically, it just becomes a game where as soon as u start, u know who has won cos it comes down to who has more AIs on their team (ie the more u have, the mor
