I will try and rephrase, so that its easier to understand my problem Basically I have icons on my desktop..and the the dock I have at the bottom covers these desktop icons..I have this dock on autohide at the moment, but would like to have it constantly showing and always on top just like the windows taskbar. ummm It has nothing to do with desktop x which i dont have as i deleted it after i thought it was any good. It is to do with objectdock.

Hello, I have my object staying on top of all windows..only problem is it doesn't act like windows taskbar as the windows maximise behind it and not just above it, if you know what i mean, and icons on the desktop hide behind it, any way of stopping this? Thanks.

Anyone know how I can get my internet connection status into objectdock? i have seen a screenshot of someone with it in there but I dont know how as dragging and dropping doesnt work.

As I dont want to use windows start bar anymore I have a small problem with msn messenger. When I click X on my contact list window I cannot sign out as it doesnt go into the show programs running space on my objectdock, so i have to show windows taskbar again and sign out of messenger like that. What can i do?
