I have been an actual member since end of October. I still have yet to figure out how to make a windowblinds skin. I still cannot figure how to work skinstudio. I read some tutorials and they still don't help. The fact is that skinstudio is not as easy and as understandable as photoshop. If Stardock could change it to be as easy as Photoshop program for skinning I think there would be more skinning around. They just took the old skinstudio and added more features to it, but did not make it easie

Wanna hear something funny? I thought it was my laptop making the beeps when installing the beta. Well, I walked the kitchen to cook me some tator tots to snack on and forgot that my cellphone was in my pocket. I heard the beeps again and thought it was in my head and then pulled out my cellphone and the battery is dying. I have to recharge it. I thought that was funny. So it has nothing to do with windowblinds 5.5 at all.

My laptop beeps with the new beta version of windowblinds 5.5. I don't what is up with that. Anyone have any ideas what it is? I got windows xp pro. Thanks Stardock for products it works great besides the beeps.

Oh, no I am not worried about it and it has not given me anything when I downloaded any skins saying I got a cap and I misread erks post before saying, if you pay for a subscription to WinCustomize, purchase one [or all] of the many great Stardock applications, or contribute to the community [perhaps by way of regular uploads of your own work] your access level will be changed, and you will not have the download cap.

I re-downloaded the icon set and it was still corrupted. So I just let support know nicely that it did not work again. I will just wait and see what happens. I backed up all that I downloaded as skins for the reinstall. That is so I won't have to download all of them again. I won't download the icon trilogy until I know for sure it is not the pack. So, everything still works fine. Stardock folder is about 850 mb now. Talk to you all later. Have a good day!

The Icon Pack was corrupted. I have had really back week. I am soo sorry and hope you all won't want to never talk to me again. Please take my apology.

Well I was wrong it is just updates only for object desktop. I guess when or ever I get this software to work I will have to back up everything because I will have a download limit. It will go quick to because I already downloaded stuff and can't use because of problem not solved yet and lost everything downloaded.

So you are saying even if I bought the object desktop 2007 and not wincustomize subscription I got a cap? I read on stardock.com that if anyone buys the new object desktop 2007 they will have unlimited downloads off of wincustomize for a year of object desktop 2007 subscription. Look like another thing that pulled me in.

Criticize all you want it wont get me off. It took 4 days to come up with a answer that was not even what I said in the ticket. I said it could possibly be it and that is all they got out of it when I said other stuff in there. So what they go by one thing out of all I said and that is it in one email. They said in email that was the most probable cause of being bootskin, it would be and it was not even close. Sounded to me that they did not try hard enough to give more than that.

Well again I had to uninstall object desktop. Same problem with no one in technical giving me the right help. I wrote mike and still wont get the right help. This is weird that I sent a ticket about not loading in windows correctly then I finally got a response saying it was bootskin. Well I had problem with or without bootskin. As for vidstub.sys in windows\system32\drivers is not even in there in safe mode. I still think it is something else and I will never get this software running and I will just get taken of my money.
