I see the game is on preorder on steam. Those of us who already own fallen enchantress thx to the more than fair and generous Frog Boy, do we get a steam key to activate the game in steam? The star dock key doens't work in steam.

Kroner? or Crowns? or Thaler ??
The only reason i still play CIV4 is because of (simultaneous) multiplayer, which i play regularly (once a month with 4friends). I've played many TBS multiplayer that didnt have simultaneous moves, but only rarely more than 2 people. civ3, age of wonders 1&2, heroes of might and magic 1&2&3&4&5, disciples 1&2 etc... The only reason i never played GalCiv2 much more than a month maybe two is because of
Neat idea. and very unorthodox. It will create some interesting choices along the way. But does that mean that all magic is "life" magic? all magic is hippie goody-two-shoes?
nice.... and this gives me the chance to applaud stardock for the wise decision to move away from the 5 types damage, 5 types shield approach that i thought was the 3. most tedious thing in an otherwise splendid game, galciv 2. much better to just leave it at arcane, fx. with the tag 'fire' to it. then someone like hellhounds get fireprotection, and murlocs get fire vulnerability. I love you Stardockians. You can all have ca
Exactly the same here. I am able to enter unit creation, but its veeery sluggish
Here in Europe Steam just shot itself in the face with a new pricing system where they pretty much changed all products prices from dollars to euros using this system: 1 $ = 1 € Meaning that empire total war is now 49.99 € while you can get it in a normal webbased stores for 33,55 €. Thats a difference for 16 € or nearly 22 $ !!!! AND you get the game in DVD form which can be added to your s
Actually hiddenrabbit has a good idea Thats one of the features that i loved the most about the wonderful game Alpha Centauri. Certain features where on the randonly generated map f.x. The Saragossa Sea etc. Certain tecs opened up more of the backgrouund story. Its kinda like the sandboxy feel of the diablo games (f.x. the butcher) where you either looked forward to discovering certain familiar places or feared and prepared for them. The experiences where then a common knowlegde betwe
Hmmmm... I only have one gripe. The black egdes around every object makes it look a tad bitmappy, or maybe like stickers on a frigde. The french diablo clone silver fall had the same cartoonish effect but to me it seemed like all objects where sort of not part of the enviroment.
im very close to agreeing on choosing apocalypse as my all time favorite as well. I just played through it again a couple of minths ago, and no other game has come even close to reproducing the same flow of battle.
Im my most recent game playing as the drengin i've noticed that i keep getting alot of "super dominator corvettes" - small ships with 10hp around my capital planet. I haven't the faintest idea why i get these ships - their not even in the shipyard. Can someone please shed some light on this mystery for me?
While i think the ship design is a neat feature, i usually don't want to bother. But I simply cant figure out how to upgrade various designs with that new armor i just invented without having to refit the entire ship from scratch. Why cant i just automatically get durantium armor on all my different ship designs without having to do it manually with every single one? I litterally sit there and have to memorize the previous stats for the ship, before i hit the upgrade button, because if i
A thing like the random events should be kept. They don't take long to execute and they add a lot of flavor to the game
for example: Only custom ships in turn based games, and then only customizing while it's not your turn.
I created this thread to make people share their ideas on how to implement multiplayer in galciv2. Now, we're already told that the "plumbing" is there, it's just a matter of using it. What changes in the galciv-structure needs to be changed to allow for an enjoyable galciv-experience with your friends? What features should be changed/stay as they are in a simultaneous or turn based game? How can this gamed be multiplayed in
I have exactly the same problem as dpalau, except: I had the issue since version 1.0 I have 1gb ram, 9800pro latest drivers
factories are for industri points only. Research centers are for research points only. Population is for taxing (and soldiers) only. that outta sort that one out
how about checking if all your drivers are up to date etc..?
I started a large map with 7 adversaries using the "good vs neutral vs evil" setting and the difficulty on challening. Some very odd things are happening. All of the other AI civs are using matter-weapons. not a single one has chosen differently. Why? is this a bug? or just a very impropable situation at odds 1: 2187?? Furthermore the AI isnt very bright at some times. i have the Arcean Empire under siege with my fleets and ti
"Are you naming your upgrades with a new name? Seems to be the only way around it. " - ok, that might be the trick, even though this gotta be a bug, because I use the UPGRADE button and then save with same name... not the New Design button . "Open the "shipyard" screen from your control panel. At the bottom of the shipyard screen you will see several buttons. One of these buttons is for delete, another for obsolete. Either should remove said ship from the choic
I cannot for the love of "Xe-Mortzle the Somewhat Greater than Thou" figure out why so many of my designs wont dissappear from the Upgrade Menu!?! I just ruined an entire game by accidentally downgrading my entire fleet of destruction-on-a-galactic-scale to a fleet what is essentially interstellar rowboats My upgrade list contains more and more ancient shiptypes, and i can't find any way to remove them!! I have rein

With a planet selected, i press "D" and enter the colony screen. Now i can't leave it through the "done" button and odd graphical errors occur. Essential a crash. QUESTION: When I autopilot a constructor vessel unto any resource (doesn't matter which type) it inevitably creates a "mining starbase". Furthermore I have never seen starbases acutally having any effect in the under starbase bonusses details screen in a colony. Is this also a bug?? <img src="smiles/H
