Because I've never played DOTA it was fair for me to look at the possibilities of both aspects. I can't say it's better or worse based on that fact. Regardless, DemiGod released not that long ago, until we see what happens after the multiplayer fixes, you can't simply say the ONLY way for it to improve would to be to head into the direction of DOTA. As you don't know that, for all you know Demigod could be better going into the opposite direction, it all depends on what works and what doesn't

I'm not wanting you to agree with my opinion. I'm simply stating, that just because something works in DOTA doesn't mean it would work here. I also did not ONCE get into the argument about which game had more depth or which was better. Not only is this not the board for that, i'm clearly aware that due to my lack of ability with the game DOTA I have no place to say this is better or that is better, which if you want to read my post, I didn't say anything. I merely said that I could see the po
How is that statistics? You were quoting a persons opinion, on DOTA versus other games. In no way does the argument show that there are NOT DOTA players who assume that game is far better than any game you have to pay for. Which was most of the point being thrown at you. I've never played DOTA but that doesn't mean my opinion is invalid either. That many hero's on paper seems to have its depth, but I can see problems with it. I don't doubt it has a strong following, or a good community, but f
I can't speak much for online play, but if you base how broken someone is on that then its wrong. Realistically you should be basing it on a comparison of abilities what the abilities can do, and what you can do with them. Because all items are available to all demigods, the items do not at all need to be taken into account. When I first played the game, Regulus was a tank, a beast, and amazing. I rememer me and a friend in a 2 vs 5 slaughter match, against all 5 nightmare oppone
I wouldn't mind more Demigods so long as they are balanced and unique. If we are going to be making Demigods that are "carbon" copies of others than there really is no point. To be fair I think we could pull off at least 12, and maybe 14 or 16 with original and unique ideas. The key would be to do it over a longer time frame. Maybe just me, but another thing I would really like is a BIGGER map format. Its not that we don't have big ones already, but the levels are quite similar in terms of de
Thanks for the feedback guys. Glad you both like the idea and hope others support it, I also thought it would be fun obviously. Also your probably right about the number of the army. I'll make that edit now, 42 is a bit too much.
Apologies for the double post, didnt' see it come up the first time.
Just an idea I had while playing Demigod for a whle now. It stems from the fact that the "style" of the game story wise seems to fit that of a Roman worshipping nature, mixed with the fact that all the generals play like variable characters instead of just plain generals. I have always wanted a general that was just a melee fighter with no mana abilities and led an army into war. So I came up with a character that can do what with story. Anyways, here he
