Megavent #6: Several tears have opend in spacetime, resulting in "Wormholes" that can be traversed by our ships, instantly taking them to a random other tear. These tears seem to be near major star systems. Can you imagine a wormhole in your backyard? this could TOTALLY shift the power balence of a game. It could provide instante passage to the enemy home world. Of course they culd use it too, so it give a 'hole new front to cover. The implications are tremendous.

Me, I usually first hear about a game in one of PC Gamers reviews or previews. That's how I found out about there even being a sequel to GalCiv. As for the first GalCiv, I heard about THAT on the PCG Demo Disk. I have based many purchase desicion on the review in PCG PLUS the demo on the Disk. P.S: When making a demo, Make it meaty enough to get a real good taste of the game, and not just a nibble. This goes for ANY game.

Up near the top, there was talk about some races having Innate ablitys beyond stat boosts. My question is, how do custom races fit into this? For example, my custom, The Umbrael Sentience, is a mecanical race similar, (but philishopicly opposed to) the Yor Collective. I should be able to give them similar attributes as to Yor. Will I be able to? I hope so...

a very simple addiditon would be to giv SBs floating icons, like planets. One icon would signify unbuilt modules (related to Battle) and a different Icon for Utility Modules.

This issue has shown up before, the one where another Race surrenders to you, with no message, and without much relations with that civ. Shouldn't there at least be some sort of notice?

Change my Pre-Order in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

The story so far... When I heard that Gal-Civ 2 had an open beta by simply getting the preorder, I got it immediatly. Not wanting to pay extra, I oped for the download option. Having seen how long it takes to download the thing, I have decided I want to change to the Box version. Can some tell me how to make this change so I don't have download it with a 27 kbps connetion?
