Im also waiting for an update, as the current version does not support unicode - which directly conflicts with my swedish windows and hence wont play.. :'( update, update, update... :P
Will Demigod, in a later release, support unicode characters? I find this kind of a silly problem to have... :/ There must be more versions than the Swedish one of windows where you find unicode character sin the folder structure..
Thanks for the suggestion, however; it doesnt seemt to have fixed my problem. I performed the change and rebooted my computer (as suggested after the change). The game still crases in the same manner, same goes for my friends setup who is also running a Swedish Windows XP Pro. Any other suggestions? (other than the plausable solution found in this ticket http://forums.demigodthegame.com/323093 since I really dont want to tamper with my registry on
Hmm... the problem for me is that my entire folder structure is based on a unicode character, see below; C:\Documents and Settings\Tropz\ Lokala inställningar \Application Data\Gas Powered Games\Forge how would you guys recommend I go on about this? :)
Hmm.. could the "ä" in the following string be the cause of this (Swedish windows)? C:\Documents and Settings\Tropz\ Lokala inställningar \Application Data\Gas Powered Games\Forge However, I am unable to locate the sub-folders to the Forge folder, which you refer to above. My friends setup looks just like mine when it comes to this folder structure. What exactly should I change in the registry to get the game to run?

One of the systems I mentioned above uses Avast! Antivirus (comp 1), while the other uses NOD32. Worth noting could be that another friend of mine, who run an identical machine to "comp2" specified above, runs the beta just fine.. From what Im able to gather it appears that this "crash" only appear for users using Nvidia cards.. only 7xxx and 8xxx.. Perhaps just a coincidence? Both mentioned system setups are running on Windows XP Pro, SP2. I have tried waiting for a minute or so.. Really doesnt feel as if its gonna un-freeze, since the loading screen is finished and i actually get a few seconds, well about one second, of animated water and free cameraview before it locks up.. I edited my first post, adding more system information as well as attaching my dxdiag-extraction. please let me know if more information is necessary. </p
Hello, I have downloaded and installed the Demigod Beta 1. However, it wont let me get further than a first glance of the arena-screen. I can navigate the menues etc. just fine, but the moment i launch a created LAN-game the game freezes. Have tried to launch about 10 games, same thing every time. Played around with the GFX-setting, but without any luck. The exact same thing happens for a friend of mine running on similar system specs, below you can find our specs.
