Please do as the instructions say and don't install on your only machine or in a mission critical situation. It isn't likely to be anywhere near as stable as your XP installation. I for one will be installing it on a spare machine i have. You do know that hardly any 3D games will run on this release of Vista. Apparently something to do with the OpenGL release.

I have noticed a strange little problem, whilst changing the screensaver on my PC. Everytime i change the screensaver the wallpaper changes back to the old wallpaper i was using before applying my current skin Any ideas? I am using WB5 Beta G and the skin is DogmaX4 with the supplied wallpaper. Cheers for you help.

Hi Cyberworld, I think they're all good examples of Computer art, but whether they would work as wallpapers i'm not sure. Now, i have no idea what the moderators of Wincustomize are looking for when people upload to the site but i think that one of the pre-requisites is that i must work on the desktop. I.E not distract from your work. I personally wouldn't use them as desktops for exactly that reason. (sorry) Big

I just i'd mention that i have managed to get WB5 Beta G to work on my pc. After getting a bit fed up with the install/uninstall routine that you mentioned i finaly gave up and reinstalled WB4. But when i saw the "G" update i thought i.d give it another go. Here's the steps i took to get it working Uninstalled WB4 > Restarted > Deleted all files except themes in the OD\WB folder > Downloaded and installed WB5 > restarted > Started

Hi, I have just updated to WB5 BETA G and have finally managed to get skins to apply. I thought i'd let you know how i did it. I firstly uninstalled WB5 and deleted all files apart from the themes in the OD\Windowsblinds folder. I then restarted and downloaded WB5 and installed. After another restart i then activated through the new activate window. A point on that, I had to let the activate program through my norton firewall. Aft

Some very interesting comments in this thread. I still think a Subscriber level model would work. But one thing i have noticed is a lack of input from Stardock? Hi, I have just checked SDC and have noticed that BETA G has been released. Well i think it has anyway, the history shows an update but the file name still shows F. Has anyone installed this update and does it fix the problem with skins not applying? Any help gratefully received. BigLee

I'm glad you all think that this is a good idea. I know that if a kid is reasonably PC savvy that they could get around it, but for younger children i think is perfect. I envisage a colourful background and big friendly icons and easy to read text.
