Hello I've been reading the boards while awaiting this game, and I'm eagerly awaiting this one. I find I'm upset that I haven't got the time to joing the beta! I have a couple of questions though - they may have been answered in previous threads though so bear with me please... One of the main problems I've heard of in the early game is the need to expand exponentially in order to survive 'first contact.' How true is this? From what I've heard, most people have adop

I like the fact that all ships get a defensive bonus. Home field advantage is always a factor, no matter what you're flying. Perhaps defensive ships could receive a further bonus for being purpose built for the job. Double, maybe?

Hello - new to the site and thought I'd give my 2c worth. A game with an innovative approach to RTS/TBS is Sir-Tech's Jagged Alliance 2. Their idea is to have real-time movement until an enemy is spotted, or worse, spots you and fires - at which point the game converts to turn-based combat. The concept works extremely well for the game itself, although I'm not sure how well it would work for a more immersive game like GalCiv. I'm looking forward to the public beta of GalCiv -
