The autosave savegame that got created is bad, I dont know why exactly but I'm sure Stardock can find out. See the archive file I made form my savegames. Gr. Boraxx

I doubt this is a bug. A fleet moves as far as the slowest shipo, meaning the faster ships still have movement points on them. So when you let htem leave the fleet, it should actually be correct that they can still move. They simply wil not benefit from the protection and tactical benefits a fleet offers as a whole
I wish I had made a screendump of it but I will try to explain. During my 5th campaign scenario, I was informed that one of the allied races had built their spinning facility. At that time my screen turned totally purple with me only being able to read all text of the buttons I could press. Pressing escape even the savegame screen showed pruple with text. For inexperienced players it would be nice to have some sort of advisor help during the first few games of the dreadlord campaign. For example: At the beginning of the game choose out of 4 common strategies to win the game During the game advices are given on what buildings best to build or what tech tree items to research. During game play some "did you know" pop ups could come up which tell you some "in manual" hints on improving your gameplay.
so collectors edition and the regular pre-order are the same in terms of extra stuff? I thought it was different.
I pre-ordered and downloaded the GALCIV2 game, and enjoy all features a lot. (Though I havent figured out how to use rally points exactly) However is it somewhere listed what the exact differences are between the pre-ordered version in terms of game-elements and the regular release? (What specific ship parts, perhaps races etc?)
A few times the game shut down on me, and a message came up if I wanted to send an error report to Microsoft. The problem appears always to happen when a newly designed ship with a same name as an existing ship is being saved. The name of the existing ship is usually not even part of the game I am playing but part of a previously played game. Anybody else experiencing the same problem?
