Doubles of any isn't good as much because there are 8 different Gods use them. But a regulus double is the worst, 2 double snipes is just too much. Obviously can be countered but the double snipe is not fun to be against or either to play. To be fair its not hard to work out what No Doubles means!

Agreed pings of under 350 are fine and I play regularly with people of pings of that level. The big issue is peoples connections not being able to handle the upload (or having background apps on that use the bandwidth). Unfortunately the game has no current way of spotting if someones upload is not sufficient or when it is happening who is lagging the game. Would improve things no end if they could have a traffic light system based on upload bandwidth/against player numbers. T
Quoting aymanra, reply 20Maybe my expectations are low, but the game is more than fine as is imo. Indeed. As it stands, I believe the game is complete, and fantastic. Anything more - extra DG's, extra maps, team support, VOIP, modding etc - will just be an added bonus, and in my eyes that's awesome.
Agree - the game as it stands rates in my top 5 games of all
Played HoN, The lobby and Game Host are very good. Actual game and community I prefer DemiGod and haven't the inclination or the will to get past that with HoN. Tals
I'd be sad if frogboy has really decided to stop posting in here due to a minority of individuals. I've found his posts inciteful and his enthusiasm for the product has helped to keep it going. I'm not aware of any other publisher who has been so proactive towards a product they publish looking forward it needs that enthusiasm if its going to develop. Tals
Great idea, I think the premade games option is much more wanted than possibly realised. I would far prefer to play alongside friends than with random players. I really wish the Voip aspect could be sorted as well, would make a big difference to random games. If you get a chance check out Heroes of Newerth lobby interface - really is what DG should have aimed at IMHO. Handling for Noobs, rage quits, comments after games, ability to load stats to own server - the list goes on. Still prefer

I don' have a problem paying for Demi-God's 9$ for 2 isn't so bad - the odd map wouldn't go amiss either :) However if you go this route can you ensure that people who don't buy can still play with those that do - the ones who don't buy just can't use those DG's and those who do can even in the same game. Otherwise with the player Pop as it is you'll kill the game Tals
Nice app, thank you
For the game to increase we need a demo for it to last we need modding and clan support
I'd enjoy live replays with a spectator chat section.
Xfire allows for this just put it into broadcast and anyone can watch and comment as you play
Yep would love to see the clan support. I don't understand the premade argument - if you want a random game do skirmish or pantheon, if you want a game against premades - otherwise known as friends! Then go to custom. The random button if you have that should be an option and at the hosts discretion. Maybe have the ability to battle groups of friends against each other....if the population is large enough :)
I use http://www.xfire.com/games/demigod/Demigod/ to see the trend of a game population. In DemiGod's case the hopeful stuff is it does spike everytime a release occurs and the 50% coupon saw a huge spike. Unfortunately it only does a month and only for those players that use xfire - though that has a reasonably good cross section of the community - maybe more MP minded than SP Be interesting to see how the demo effects it
MP Stats not storing right. This one we’re still working on. You’d think that this would be straight forward (as a non network guy, that was my view anyway) but it’s actually remarkably complex to get the data to the server in a secure way at the end of the game but before people quit because the game is over.
I can see how it would be complex, however do what WIC does and have a simple message display to sh
I would welcome a list which could mark players I didn't like playing against and those I did. Ecen if it then showed a smiley of them in the lobby that would be enough. Tals
1. Replayability?...With the same maps and DG's in play does the game ever get a little stale?. I'm coming up to 100 hours in game (xfire stats) so it hasn't for me. 2. Length? How long does the typical game of Demigod last? Currently my games are tending to be around the 30 minute mark. 15 minutes and either we have been pwned or we have pwned the other team. An epic for me is around 50 minutes - but damn they are fun when
At the moment a 3v3 and a 4v4 is lasting usually between 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Rarely it is higher but I have also had 15 minute games. I can't see how this could be speeded up without impacting on the gameplay. I don't see this game as being any slower and it's probably faster than RTS games such as Company of Heroes or Warhammer Tals
Movement and opacity would be good solutions
I think they are all good suggestions, but ones that have been made before and verified by Stardock. Possibly my only concern is VOIP - the game needs VOIP, but I just have a suspicion they will implement this just in impulse. You need to have the ability in a game to be able to chat to all your other team mates whether you know them in impulse or not. You also need the ability to mute any player in a game easily. Sort these two out and team games will move to a different level imho.
Even with the concede I still see people quiting, not even sure why - in some cases they die a couple of times and leave - but the game is nowhere near over. I can't ever see the AI being a good replacement for a good human player. When someone quits or disconnects how possible would it be to either have a way for all the players to go back to the lobby area (i.e so they don't get lost when a new game is created). This could be done through a vote which may get round the issue when on
That does look nice - any eta on that?
As soon as I saw your post I knew you were a DOTa player - why do DOTa players feel the need for the game to play like DOTa - its Demigod!! I have no issues with the speed, get swift anklet and boots of speed if you feel they are too slow. Quite happy with the gameplay
1 is a critical issue imho, 5 I haven't noticed myself
I like it - much clearer when chat is occuring.
