Certain players I have played with I really would never want to play with again - i'm sure the feeling is mutual :) Would it be possible to tag a player with a tag could be a smiley if they were an enjoyable player or a neg smiley if not etc. Then in the lobby these could be shown against the player names. I hate smack talk - whether it is directed at me or at the opposition. This game does seem to draw out the worst in people in this respect - can we have the ability to squelch players. It will ruin the team ethos but at least it saves from rage quitting. I play to enjoy this game not have some 13 something swearing in game. Tals
Can we have a proper release notes please - helps to publise the game rather than saying I think it has x in it which sounds c%^&
An update is up - not sure if its 1.01 but its downloading :)

I do see why its still 1.01... aside from connectivity fixes, the game hasn't really been updated at all since release. Erebus's bite fix is the only balance change that I can remember.
Agreed - everytime an update is posted it will raise the interest in the game. I also agree - get stable 1.01 out the door, if it is good then produce a demo and possibly a discount offer at that point. After each 'major' update give out offers and you should see the interest build. The game is a real goer but only if we get these issues out of the way. Any ETA for 1.01 - some of the stuff at the moment like the lag/ai quitting (30 sec delay) are so critical that I won
Any ETA on this - still on for today?

For me I would like to see voip integration for the team players - showing which person is talking and the ability to mute easily any player. Tals

Suddenly, I realize its choppy as hell. Turn down settings, no benefit. Keep playing, thinking this can't be right. Running Athlon 64 X2 at about 3.0, GeForce 9800GT, X-Fi ExtremeGamer, 4Gb RAM, XP32. Came to the forums, saw the thread about sound. Firs
I'm not sure he is unfair in the damage he does, however the mines can be difficult to counter. Two thoughts on this Mines should be dangerous to both sides - the allies should be able to see them but if they walk over them BOOM secondly Regulus should only be able to lay them where he is. I kept having the things thrown behind me in one game - maybe my tactic should have been to go for the kill - however against 2 it effectively cuts off your escape. Tals
Agreed - World in Conflict possibly has the best ingame MP options of a model should be used how todo it :)
At the beginning of the thread I was very much for reducing the death time, however after playing light penalty it doesn't work well. Spawns are too quick and it does seriously increase the time for a game to actually complete. The Gold side I am not so sure, you get a heap of cash when you kill someone, at the same time you get cash during the death time and xp so i'm moving towards reducing the amount of cash gained from a kill maybe to 50% Tals p.s I don't play SIMS
I agree that it's a bit too unbalanced. you do need a penalty for dying, but as it is right now you lose the gold you would earn, lose the control of the map due to being dead, you give the other team gold (and a lot of it), you give the other team xp. it all adds up to a rather huge swing. You do take longer to come back based on level how it is right now btw, and I think the respawn time is fine. personally I think th
Quoting regabond, reply 3theres umm options to change this and upgrades and items to decrease ur death time. Thats awfully condescending I'm sure he means Pantheon games
The English was poor but he/she got the message across. Pantheon and skirmish does need fixing. Custom games light penalty should probably be the default. That it is customisable will hopefully make our own custom matches more enjoyable.
theres umm options to change this and upgrades and items to decrease ur death time.
Not appretiated those, just tried it and it appears to reduce the death penalty to 10 secs which is probably right an dhalf the gold. Obviously doesn't effect Pantheon and skirmish but worth checking out. Thank you Tals
If it didn't matter when you died, people would be able to play much more recklessly. It could potentially harm the strategic elements of the game... the push and pull if you will.
Yep i'm not saying its wrong its just way unbalanced at the moment. You kill someone and you know its going to be push forward. Push because you just got a heap of gold so you now have time to safely go back to your citadel with your newly raised gold an
I think a post game report would be useful. I think at that point you should be able to check your opponents out. Hopefully gives an insite into their build - sometimes you see a build that just has to be cheating but is more likely caused by just a good build. Re the report - it could be hidden via F9 etc or they could really make it neat by having the chat below it so players could chat regarding it. Tals
Especially at the beginning of game an outage of 29 seconds (I think that is the value) effectively puts you out of the game if you're playing experienced players. When you come back particularly the early game the other players can have leveled 2 above you and captured the advance flags and it's downhill from there. My suggestion would be to have a lower death penalty. I did wonder whether it should then be incremented - at the moment it is so severe i'm not even sure what it's tryin
Agreed - they have done great things with the game over the last few weeks. Really hope that it becomes a long term game for me and with Stardock and GPG i'm confident that can happen
The proxy system will certainly help Pantheon a load. Just had a very frustrating half an hour where we had players that either just wouldn't connect to one person or to everyone. What then happens is they eject and the game then starts and you end up with a 2v1 scenario - it should never allow this. If a player ejects either it takes you back to player selection or even better pull in another person from the queue. Unfortunately those same people causing the issue continue to

Otherwise you join a Pantheon/Skirmish or custom have a random pug join and you can't chat to him because he is not in your friends list. As with pretty much all MP aspects World in Conflict did this well * showed who was chatting * only allowed voice chat within the team * had

Then it requires all of the people you play with to also be aware of these apps and have them installed and logged on and so on... It's utterly unrealistic to expect everyone to use competing third party applications for what should be an in-game feature, especially in a game with built in community support.
