OK! Finally DG is delivering the goods and boy those goods are good! The game really needs Voice Comms bad, I have ventrillo so frankly i'm ok but our team work is telling against non vent guys - put voice comms in the game for the teams and it makes it fairer as well as hopefully making a better team experience for both. Well it's a lot better. Managed to have my first Pantheon game and the game showing who is waiting to get in a game is very good. However the second pantheon game we ended up with a 2v1 scenario - hopeless! Anyway he quit (I don't blame him) and we wasted 20 minutes wiping up. Did a couple of custom games. First occasion 1 player witha 3second ping caused us all to lag out and disconnect. Second time we literally had a split second stutter a
Random Team 3v3 on Warcraft 3 takes less than 30s to match 2 teams of 3 and without any lag. Just playing evil advocate here, but you get what I mean.
Warcraft 3 from the xfire stats is 5th in the charts and has 16000 players a day playing it (just xfire users) DemiGod is 125th in the chart and has 729 players It's a scale thing :)
I can't see anyone wanting AI players in game unless they are going SP or COOP - in terms of waiting as long as you are getting active progress on player matching then most people will wait. Its when you just get a limited feedback that it falls down MP > SP games i'm afraid regardless whether it makes it more difficult to manage - that's why they are more fun tbh - AI will follow the rules. I think the coupon and the demo are related. If the demo is arund you will have a much better hit of people then wanting to buy it whilst the offer is around. Tals
Can you put an option in game settings to hide which God's are chosen (opposing team). This would stop players looking at the opposing team and then choosing the best counter strategy DemiGod. Tals
OK i'm revising my earlier verdict. Lobby is far better. However had a couple of games now where all of us connect bar a couple - for those people there is zero information, just they don't connect. We really need more info - otherwise it's totally impossible to know who the culprit is and what they need to correct. Frustrating but i'm sure Stardock will figure it
Not quite true - they have an issue that you don't have. That doesn't mean they have anything wrong with their connectivity but something specific to them is causing the issue. The devs I am sure will narrow down on these ones like they did with the sound issue which is frankly amazing that they sorted Kudos and lets keep it civil Tals
Have you tried the creative on low quality sound?
Played a couple of games. Access for all was almost instantaneous. Game starts no issue. 2 weeks ago the same game would have taken in excess of an hour to start and we may have failed in the process Well done guys now lets get to moving this game forward - demos, coupon, favor points more gods/maps etc :) Tals p.s I think coupon and demo are quite closely related
Played a couple of games last night 2v2's. Going into the lobby now seems sorted and starting the game all worked fine. My buddy mentioned the targetting issue occured a couple of times. All in all very happy :) Tals
Can I suggest that as soon as you are clear that favour points are working again - Wednesday at the latest that you reset them. Until you do that games re favour points are not viable because of the huge discrepancies between peoples favor points
Yep if you have bad fps I would suggest grabbing the beta turn reverb off and sound low and that will resolve it if its a sound issue :)

I bow down to GPG and Stardock - well done guys, totally unexpected. Is it safe to install the beta? EDIT: Never mind, I'm just taking my chances. Whether I have an unplayable game because of sound issues or an unplayable game

If the new beta build gets up today, we'll let you know how it turns out. Hurray for a company that actually listens to ppl that have problems, investigates, and fixes those problems! Dahkar I doubt this patch today solves any sound issues. As far as I understand, it only fixes (part of) the connectiv
Sounds good - can I suggest you forget the beta cycle, its not making it clear whether their is a resolution or not. I'm in Monday's beta - it looks goo dbut I suspect its working because no one else is playing it :) BTW if you want to see how MP can be done from a friends/clans/stats and joining angle get a copy of WIC - it is easily the best setup - including its ability to set aside a server for clan matches. I don't really want to put the family network open to the elements and I certainly don't want my PC on the DMz. I'll cross fingers you're just been overly cautious regarding the firewall aspect - shouldn't be any reason why a open port would be blocked by the firewall - that is the point of the port forward Here's the issue. Out of interest that sim speed bug was in Friday's beta build.

If by "games on Steam" you mean like Team Fortress or Left 4 Dead that's because you're connecting to a dedicated server or a dedicated host, a totally different thing. Thats fine I have no problem with port forwarding - but I am pretty sure

Quick comment re demo - you absolutely must still have an SP option as well as MP. From my own experience when I play I first want to try it on SP and once I am happy with my play I then move to MP. If I don't have that SP option I seldom want to risk walking with the unwashed masses :) Note most people who wanted Demi God have the game you're now trying to appeal to those who hadn't even considered it! If you're having the nosound issue then a lot of us have sound cards and this has made no difference, also likewise for USB headsets (which I hadn't expected). Its a really strange issue - I fired up World in Conflict last night just to convince myself that my machine is capable of playing a game and sound at the same time :)
