Yeah, I just went ahead and re-installed. Seems to be working okay now. Stardock and GalCiv 2. I actually couldn't find the un-install option until I got StarDock to open (it is in there). Anyway, crisis averted. Life is good once again!

Help! I am trying to play GalCiv 2 and am getting error when trying to launch. When I try to run galciv2.exe I get : "the parameter is incorrect" (there is no parameter that I know of!) When I try to run GC2Launch.exe I get: "Only part of a ReadprocessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed" I have been running the game fine since release. No problems at all. Now all the sudden this! Please help. <img sr
Terraforming allows tiles that are Red to be built upon. But no, it doesn't allow the habitation of level 0 planets.
I did this too, Spearthrower, and it worked for me. It was a speed mission for me!
Wait until you get to "Siege," like the 3rd or 4th Campaign mission. H-A-R-D!
Best to specialize. Make your "Ship building planet" with lotsa factories. Your "Research Planet" etc. Seems to be the consesus as the best strategy and has worked very well for myself.
Same thing here. VERY touchy.
I believe that you can reach the planet I spoke of in my post from your starting area. That is the only planet you need. I have tried having starbases to extend my range but they are constantly destroyed by the DL's. So the key is head out to the planet to the east of Yor (purple) and settle in there. Get your techs up as quick as possible to get some shields (for the mass drivers) and planetary invasion and get your butt to the Drengi planet. Tonite I will try a few things to inc
I have tried that solution... Going straight for the planet in the North-Western quadrant... But, you have to have some sort of range to get there. Easiest way? There is a plant that the Yor have below the objective planet. To the east of that plant there is one that is free for the picking. You have to be fast, but if you can populate that you can launch an offensive at the Objective (Drengi) planet. However... As I statrt building up some transports and some escorts for them
Yeah, I don't really understand the -% applied for population. Is this for having too many people or from not having enough? I read the manual but didn't see an answer there either. The AI can end the game with an average tax rate 20% higher than mine and their approval rating will still be higher than mine. Not sure how they area ccomplishing that.
Seems to me you really can't defend against them. I just lost that mission too. Only way I can see to defeat the mission is head to the lower right quadrant, build up a fleet, head to the middle-left area, take the Yor plant, then move on to the Drengi planet in the upper left. That is all you have to take to beat the mission, but I am finding it extremely difficult...on normal.
