I fear this games failure will negatively impact GC3.
What I find hilarious and maddening at the same time is the "manual" is identical to the one in the beta that had the word "draft" splashed on every page. Yet another example of Brad's chicanery.
The real manual is the 560 page companion novel to the game... [e digicons]:erk:[/e]
Where exactly is that occurring in this forum? People expect to leave their feedback and impressions in the forums related to a product they purchased. This is why forums have technical sections to more readily address the various motivations of posters.
You do you get past the 150th turn? Or do you play 1 turn an hour?
Will people be banned for criticizing the game?
Failure to comprehend that the reviewer was making it up as he went along is also fail.
I suppose the inept would find a game that is nearly unplayable to be a good game. Sadly for those who like to understand and use the game mechanics are a bit let done by an obviously unfinished broken product. After Demigod this is the last thing Stardock needed, well that and the utter travesty of a companion book.
Cant even believe people are bitching about spit. Bitching about tower spamming rooks i could understand, but spit?
It is not even remotely "cheating".
The game is not stable enough to even address this issue yet. Maybe once getting a 1v2 is rare or bots are not filling a players spot. Favor points and stats are so borked it does not even matter.
I just wanted to post an update to this. I set my computer to the DMZ for my router, bypassing all port/forwarding restrictions - and the crashing immedietly stopped. So basically it looks like if you set up your network correctly, the crashing will stop. So forward the right ports people, it will likely fix this problem.
Wrong answer.
Quoting Dargoon999, reply 15I am so glad I did not buy this game. No story, no tutorial and no campaign. All you have left is a multiplayer game that does not work. Guessing you've never played Dota. In that case you fail sir.
Because DoTA is the game that you purchase and is not a free mod. So snipe is ineffective and you own them regulus noobs. Yet insist it should be nerfed. Sounds like someone got sniped to death and is trying to mask their tears. [e digicons]:'([/e]
Every update somehow manages to further break an already broken system. It would be rather amazing if it did not suck such massive amounts of anus.
Purchasing a product that does not function seems justifiable grounds for "Blasting SD" their game is broken. Its almost 2 weeks after release it is NOT acceptable.
Ya releasing a multiplayer game without a functioning multiplayer is a GOOD thing. [e digicons]-_-[/e]
Crashed trying to host a game as well.
There is a big difference from patching some bugs after release and releasing a product that simply does not function.
Im sure you will be working at an entry level position with that kind of attitude. No wonder you are a McDonalds generation you have absolutely no concept of acceptable behavior.

Unfortunately even children sometimes refuse to understand.... ...nuff said!
Ya nuff said ROFL LOL...no I find it kind of sad watching how poorly developed most peoples critical thinking and reasoning is.
The issue is calling the people who feed your children and pay your employees idiots. I promise a vast majority of your customers are retarded in some fashion. Disrespecting them in that manner does nothing but hurt your company.
Besides the fact that this games playerbase is not large enough to be divided like that and still retain a large enough pool at all hours.
Apparently i was wrong. Still takes 10+ minutes to get a game. But at least I can get a game versus humans even if it takes forever.
Funny, same with Impulse. However, Impulse is a hell of a lot more user-friend then Steam. As of September of 2008, Sins had sold more then 500k copies. Not sure what the final number was, maybe some one can enlight us, along with the numbers of copies sold of Gal Civ 2. Yeah, Valve is a big company, but sometimes they let it get to their heads when they start making sub-par products and people still by them like crazy due to
