Is there a way to re-orientate a dock to make it slide out horizontally from the edge of the screen, so it works like a tray? It would be a very useful feature to be able to stack multiple docks with different program types next to each other while saving screen real estate.
I know there are a bunch on wincustomize, but in my opinion most of them are a little over the top, more focused on the "theme" than usability, though there are several I like and have downloaded.
Are there any plans to update these programs? As well as to provide new window blinds skins? I've been an OD customer on and off for a while and what I would really like is more news from the dev team, if there is one. When a company is open and honest with their customers, it not only allows them to set expectations and gather feedback, it creates a "buy in" effect for the customers. They feel like they own part of the product and want it to succeed, which can lead to a very loyal fa
I just took the Stardock survey and wanted to take this time to tell you what I would really like from Stardock. Software that lets me easily customize my right clink menu, an update to object dock - you can find several ideas in the object dock forum, and an update to window fx with more animations and a greater ability to choose what is animated. Oh, an update to Iconpackager would be awesome as well.
With Kevin Unangst joining Stardock, will we see a push to add new features to the Stardock wincustomize apps? Maybe update object dock? Add animations to window fx?
Any chance of getting new animations? Or maybe a way for users to create animations? I would really love to get the mac roll down animation.
Anyone have any ideas on how we can push them to work on it? It's just about the last windows dock standing and there are a ton of things that would make this great piece of software even better.
I opened ticket [#TVE-492-47940] on 8/22 and have not heard back.
Well, I think I am going to have to give up on icon packager again. It just won't consistently change my icons. Icons I have chosen disappear after I apply them. Sometimes when it does apply them they appear correctly in my os but are missing from IP. Other times the icon in IP is correct but it is not the icon the os is using. For example my network drive connected icon will sometimes be applied as my removable drive icon, or it will have no icon at all. my live folder icons will randoml
You misunderstand me. I was using the Icon packager interface to change the icons, not fiddling with the files myself.
I have been looking for an app to automatically put icons for inserted removable media drives and disc onto the desktop. While I have found several, none are really what I am looking for. The first time you insert a particular drive/disc they all place an icon at the first empty spot on your desktop. You can then move the icon from that position and it will reappear there if you insert it again., But every new device appears in the first available spot. What I would like is an app tha
I was customizing my icons and when I would apply them they would be applied to the wrong thing. Eventually I figured out that for some reason 1 of the icons couldn't be found during the application/save process even though i was able to browse to it and add it to the package. Might be a good idea to verify all icons are present when saving/applying the package and throw up an error if there is an issue. I only found out because after applying my changes that icon was blank and when I dou
Just out of curiosity were there any big changes between the beta and release?
Okay, I found the option to move it to the right.
I am actually on a new computer with a fresh install of windows 8.1 pro.
The Icons for minimized windows appear on the left of my dock when the previously appeared on the right. How do I change this?
Okay, I switched back to default icons, uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled. Live folders are working now. Object dock still seems to be using windows defaults though. I just want to say I am very gratefull you guys are updating this program. For me it is one of the main selling points of object desktop. Edit : After a reboot, Object dock seems to be working correctly.
I seem to be having trouble with modified live folders. They don't show in windows explorer but they do show in the open/save dialogs. they previously showed in explorer. I have tried rebuilding the cache and rebooting.
I am using Icon Packager itself to change the icons in the package. Should I never overwrite an Icon package and always save it as a new one?
On Windows 8.1. When I Load an icon pack and make changes to it, then save it, it rearranges the icons that were previously in the pack so that they point to different things. I had this same problem with Icon Packager 4 and 5 back on 7 and vista. I really hope this gets fixed otherwise this will be unusable.
I am using both on windows 8.1. If I don't have the "disable toolbar thumbnail" option selected, when I minimize or restore a window it will run object docks animation then my selected animation from windowfx.
