Just a word of warning, the version of bootskin available here on Impulse (1.09(a))seems to be broken...reverts to default screen after closing the bootskin window. Older version (1.5, I think) works fine.
A little late, I know but... I installed the latest version of Bootskin thru Impulse (bootskin vers. 1.09(a)) and it would automatically revert to the default boot screen whenever I closed the bootskin window after selecting the skin I wanted to use. I was able to find an older version (1.05, I believe) with no trouble at all and that one works perfectly for me.
Don't know about the ODNT serial number working for it, haven't tried that although it might have saved me some trouble. If you, like me, registered an older version of WB (like WB5, for instance), install that and use your serial number, then upgrade. Kind of a pain, I know, but it works for me.
I also have this, got it with my purchase a year or so ago...comes looking like this: Product Name : Dynamic Earth User Name : (My name here, obviously) Serial number : A 28 digit serial number is here, essentially worthless. Expires : Monday, March 24, 2008. No web address or download link, but oddly comes with a user name that just so happens to be my real name. A google search doesn't give me anything other than the aforementioned Desktop Earth. Whatever
I need a little help...I'm a total n00b at this, never ever done it before but I wanted to make my own skin, so I fired up skinstudio (I did pay for it, might as well use it) and got to work.
