I downloaded the galaxy Forge program. but the guid eon teh website wont open, says I dont have permission to look at it.

I'm new to the game and I just cant figure out HOW to travel between stars, my scout ship does auto explore, but never leaves the star system I am in. and then the AI finds me....just HOW do I find the jump lane for another star? this is on one of hte pre made maps that comes with the game.
