Latest Update: For whatever reason, fowarding ports 6000-6200 gives Demigod problems. Using strong security I hosted and connected to a 3v3 game just fine, and the connections happened lightning fast. There was an issue with lag in-game, but I'm pretty sure that was due to one player. Now, if I port foward the game will consistently spit out the 'Can't connect to NAT facilitator' message. I'm going to try again in a bit with more relaxed settings and see what I ge

As an update to an earlier post: I'll be damned. For laughs I set my router and computer back to full paranoia mode and was able to connect. Time to start testing router settings. one. by. one. I'd like to officially beg for a way to tell what connection method the game is using. I know it's coming, but it would be really helpful now. Ah well, in any case, I can play again! Woo!

100% worse here. I've been staying away from multiplayer for the last two weeks while I waited for things to settle out, but now I can not connect at all. Release day, I had no problems (aside from overloaded servers). I'm running on a D-Link DIR-655, Vista 64, Norton Internet Security 2009. As of right now, 10:15 EST Friday, Pantheon and Skirmish sit there flaking out and custom games will spit back the 'Could not connect to NAT Facilitator' error mes
What is GPG's progress on the right-click or move-click ability bug? One of their employees mentioned on the forum that they tracked down the source of it last week and were working on it. Any ETA?
That's currently my level of entry; I won't fire up the multi again until that one gets resolved. It's nothing against Stardock or GPG, it's just that that particular bug causes a great deal of rage (for me) when I'm playing against other people. No big

I might have missed it, but is there going to be a way to tell, in-game, what connection method you're using? I've got a router with more options than I care to mention and an internet security suite that hides most of it's options. I really don't want to have to guess as to whether or not all my setting changes are actually working.
2. Hear me out on this - I think you're going about the whole "demo" thing all wrong. Pirates download the full Demigod, but they don't get the latest version so it has bugs, and they can't play "legit" online. You currently don't do anything to stop this, but rather try to add value to legit customers. So here's what I'm thinking. You make the full version of Demigod a free download over Impulse. You can't log in to play online without a key, of course, which you have to pa

Wow, that post is just full of awesome. I'll be using my coupon to buy another copy and give away, and will gladly do so. Anything to support this great company. One thing: Will the 3 connection system (Direct, NAT, Proxy) let the user know which method he's using? I'll gladly (and easily) foward from my router, but I may have to fight with the software firewall and I'd like to know if it's working or not. Some sort of port test may make this easier
Are we going to see other bug fixes/ UI tweaks/ balance fixes before we start working on new content? Being able to select/interact with minions and allied DGs via UI icons is WAY more important to me than new Demigods. Also, a stop command, and fixing attack-move. (anybody feeling the same way?) I think a lot of the griping has to do with the fact that Demigod really is a great game, but the multiplayer is just a tad shaky right now. If DG was simply a bad game, people would uninstall it, shelve it, and end of story. Myself, I can play up to 2v2 with no problem (since every skirmish right now seems to be 2v2 ;) ) 3v3+ gets iffy, and I've stopped trying for the moment after getting the 'desync of death' message a few times. I may be chomping at the bit, but I c

So where do we send bug reports to? I know Stardock is a lot more active on the forums than most, but I can recall more than one bug in GalCiv2 that they simply weren't aware of because no one used their support system--even if the bug had been posted about several times in the forums. I'll root around tomorrow and see if I can find the proper contact point for this stuff if no one else posts it here first (hell, it's probably stickied to the top of the forum). Like I said,

BUMP. I have trouble believing that anyone thought locked-down bindings was a good idea. Anyway, I'm sure this'll get patched up, I just want it to be in the first bug fix/balance patch (likely 3+ weeks out by my guess).
Thanks guys. If you guys want, we can keep doing these updates even after connectivity and things get addressed. So we could show meetings where we discuss new demigods or how to implement new match making techniques or us and GPG discussing new items and player suggestions. I just worry you'll get sick of seeing these posts.
Sick of them? Are you kidding me?! What other ga
Frogboy, I know connectivity takes priority, but do you have an update on the move order bug? When you cast a spell, occasionally your Demigod refuses to do anything more until he moves. He will just sit there and autoattack anything nearby, but unless you move first, you can't cast another spell or target a specific enemy.
This one drives me bonkers. Every now and then you can see your DG caught in an animat
