Last night, I tried a full 5v5 on Brothers against computers. While the initial FPS was still a bit choppy, I didn't notice a huge degradation in quality by the end, which is what I saw before these patches. So what seems to have happened for me is that the game doesn't really run better than it used to, but it doesn't run progressively worse over a long game. That's an improvement!

The removal of the movies gives me a very slight increase in performance, but it's still pretty unplayable with sound.
I have not yet... I may be able to give it a shot later, though.
If I run it with /nosound, I get a sim speed of 5 or 6 and the game runs very smooth. If I run it without the /nosound switch, I get a sim speed of 0 or -1, and it's very choppy. This is with the sound quality at Low and the reverb (I think the option is "System Reverb"?) set to off.

I am still having issues even after the patch. I'll post my diagnostic info when I can.
Any updates on the /nosound thing, yet? I've more or less shelved the game until I can actually hear it when I try to play it [e digicons]:([/e]
I had it on when I tried to play the game originally, and had slowdown. I turned it off while I was tinkering with settings to see if that would improve it (it didn't...), but left it off accidentally while I ran my DXDiag stuff. I guess it would be something wise turn back on, though [e digicons]:)[/e]
I submitted my stuff last night. Any official updates, yet?
I for one certainly like to hear what you guys are doing/working on. Seeing what new stuff is coming is exciting.
How are things looking for the fix to the sound compability issue? The issue that the /nosound workaround fixes? I'm not too concerned with playing online, at the moment, because I can't play the game at all.
I am having trouble with this issue as well. Unfortunately, I don't recall all of my system specs, off the top of my head (and am not at my home PC), but I am just above the minimum system specs as listed on the box. The motherboard is a GA-M55 Plus S3G (rev 1). I am running with a 64 bit processor (which I have issues with constantly ), but I am running a 32bit copy of Windows XP. I am using the on-board sound card (whatever it is...). I saw a post abo
