True but again it all depends on the plan at hand. The details of which we are simply are not privy to at the moment. A controlled short term group to lay the foundation under a NDA then a general pubic one after the fact followed by a third high quality selected third one under a NDA again prior to release would seem a good course of action in my opinion.
After sleeping on it, it seems to me like most people actually prefer Camp #1 over Camp #3. Most people who have voted for #3 have qualified their vote with "as long as I can override the automatic distribution when I need to." But really that's the only difference between Camp #1 and Camp #3 (besides non-specific equipment and auto-upgrading). Camp #3 is Camp #1, just with a competent automation system! What scared people away from

Now to make this thread more wholesome and remove the need for eye bleach. I give you Snow White... I considered putting Frogboy's face on her but I could not bring myself to do it. [e digicons]:puke:[/e]
You should check out the main trade thread.
Sweetness to the nth degree!! [e digicons]:andrew:[/e] Shall we assume it will have mini map (dungeons and planes) linking options? [e digicons]:borg:[/e] Wrap it up with a awesome campaign creator & editor and Gods themselves will wail and howl in shock and awe! [e digicons]\o/[/e]

Good stuff. It is always nice to see these "behind the scenes" posts. [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]
Kotaku just published a story about the situation here . It starts out... "Stardock CEO Brad Wardell exhaustively details the whys and hows behind Demigod’s crippling networking issues in a blog post aptly titled “Demigod: So what the hell happened?”" by Mike Fahey UPDATE: The story also made ZergWatch h<a href="http://news.zergwatch.com/2009/05/19/what-went-wrong-with-
It is nice to see some new info from the project leader after a long time of silence. [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e] Some good stuff to be sure. Some more vids would really rock. [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]
I also think it is a good idea and I would support the prior suggestion about reducing the points upon leaving. I would also consider making a team voting option as well.
good stuff!
Hmmm... And I always thought flow control was on the client side. You learn something new every day...
The fact of the matter is: the single player game was not intended to be "free to the public" no matter how big or small a part of the software it is. The game has a user agreement and nowhere in it, does it say: "You can use this software for free as long as you don't go online to play with other people." I now take upon me the task of educating you about the reality of proper internet communication: <br
For what it is worth, I think the core community is sold. The conflict is likely a cause of the frustration and tension levels which are running high right now for some. Then there is the whole DOTA mentality filtering in on top of that to boot. I expect it will settle down in soon enough. It does seem to have done so already over the past two or three days.
Good stuff again. Great communication as always. [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]
