Are you using built in sound or a sound card like Creative Soundblaster? What are your system specs (specifically CPU speed and model).

I had the following issues with Demigod under Vista Ultimate 32bit: Stuttering Sound - Even with sound quality set to low, the sound would crackle and stutter constantly, even in the menus. Sometimes the sound would get "forgotten" for a while and then all come in at once after a few minutes of silence. I am using a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 with the newest drivers and software from Creative connected via analog cables to a 5.1 speaker system. I had the game assigned in ALchemy
