Yeah I noticed that change as well last night after I updated to the new patch. The notes are still good to add more detail, but definitely a nice addition.

I've been marking them more specifically and with color coding based on quests and or/should I come back when my lander is better. Also where some training and fuel stops are.
Yeah I pre-ordered last week after seeing some of the updated screenshots. I'm looking forward to playing it. Been a long time since I played a star control game.
After playing with the beta last night for about 4 hours, I can confirm it seems to be fixed. No slowdown during that entire time.
Yes, I was getting the same thing with Crusade. I played most of the day yesterday, and the slowdown eventually ran into the game crashing (twice over 8 hours). What I think it is, is the particle system, and not killing off the particles appropriately. The shooting star across the screen going laggy was the give away because everything else was smooth. I thought it was the battle viewer (since I watch it quite often, and could still be the problem), and every time it crashe
This weekend I just finished a post 2.0 game with all gifted AI, and they were definitely giving me way more challenge than before. I got beat twice (stupid Krynn) before I switched up my normal strategy. I play with lots of analomies / relics and they were definitely going after them, and lost out on some before I could get to them. I stupidly traded interstellar survey and the Torian started sweeping up. They didn't go after shipwrecks, but then again, I stay away fr
I like the opening video and some of the other changes to the widescreen... but now when creating the galaxy, it doesn't span across the screen and you can see it build behind the loader, pretty cool See the image: https://app.box.com/s/78tljp55ul9t4s3bcd7z5ketfphjpfwl
Yes, the first thing I do in every beta, is reset the graphic settings. The anti aliasing kills my laptop video card at 1980x1200 at default settings, so I turn it off, and it makes a world of difference.
edit * just finished watching video, my question answered. :)
I hope you guys can get it on impulse. That would be great!
I don't believe I'll be getting one. Its to big to be a portable solution like the touch (toss it in my pocket), and not big enough to be a replacement for my laptop (which I carry around to work/home/vacations).
After playing a lot of Dragon Age, I would like to see a long quest line where depending on what you do, different things will happen. Example: 1. King Ozymandius requests help for his kingdom. - Train 10 troops and Send them over - Send over 100 food - Send 500 Gold - Send Instructors to Teach them If you choose to send over troops, you get +10 to relations, and a new quests to do a joint attack on a dungeon defended by a mighty dragon. If yo

Thanks for the update!
I just went through this, you don't need to create an account. You can download directly from the link on the homepage of the website.
Updated to include the memory dump.
I just crashed on launch 2 times in a row. http://pastebin.com/m733b8b03 Edit: Heres the memory file crash file: http://www.box.net/shared/1xa94xfmki Hope this debug.err file helps!
I use both steam and impulse. I just pre-ordered Dragon's Age, on impulse today actually. (Waiting for Torchlight... when is it going to be on impulse?) I prefer impulse to steam because it is a better user experience to myself, and lightweight. I have also used Direct to Drive and other others, but find Steam and Impulse better user experiences. The only thing I would like to see in the future is transfer of serials numbers. Example, if I buy a game on steam
I loaded a game where I actually though I could play through :P (killed two other soverigns) Upon loading, I didn't see any of the map features that I expected. No mountains/trees, all my cities gone, no magic nodes, nothing. Link to save file: http://www.box.net/shared/0d1gypyb53 Image:
Seconded!
Here is a sample of it with a new game first thing I did was build a new town:
I had only 2 available plots to build on, my first town seemed to build correctly, then this one, I could build more than the limit. Hence the bug :)
While posting a bug, I encountered the same thing. Tried to alt-tab back and nada. I'll post my dxdiag as well if requested (seems lots of people having same issue).
I could place as many buildings as I there were spaces, even though I was supposed to be limited to 2 because it was a new town. While in the town selection mode, I placed a farm, and then I clicked on my sovereign picture which allowed me to place as many buildings as I wished of the building I had selected. Below is an example, (note the blue guy is I'm assuming a unit left over of a soveriegn I killed, are they supposed to stay around? I couldn't click on it)
