It's the same with almost all communities on the internet, most people are nice, some are extremely helpful and a few are right little shits who will tarnish all the others. You'll usually remember the idiots over the others. Don't let the odd player put you off however as most people are good to play with. If you're able to play the game without issue and like the basic style it's a great game (just pray you don't run into connection issues).

Are you sure the locks in the first pile weren't being used up? The game consumes items in order of slots rather than your preference, so you can have 3 locks in f1, 2 potions in f2 and 1 lock in f3 and it will keep consuming the f1 stack of locks whenever you press f3.
I'm still having problems with the proxies too, ping isn't guaranteed to be bad if connected via proxy, but still finding pings of 800+ via proxy a common occurance and fairly randomly (for example played via proxy with someone today with average ping of 300ish, next lobby connected to him at 900 stable). On a slight side note any idea why I appear to be connecting to other users via nat/proxy a lot more regularly than other players? Direct connections certainly aren't out of the o
More filters cannot hurt. Would be to get more custom game filters and possibly a pantheon/skirmish blacklist for this truely grueling players you end up stuck with who have terrible ping/sim speed, no clue what they're doing and no willingness to learn or communicate.
Very hard build to play against early game (Having just played against Lord Orion and being soundly trounced by him). In pantheon exceptionally hard on the light side considering the lack of aoe early on from most of the demigods available. I'm curious on ideas to remain competitive in scenarios where the demigod match is random. Sure at later levels with the wide variety of skills and items groups of minions are not as much of a threat, but by then the oposition seems to be at a s
If you're waiting in line in either Pantheon or skirmish mode and no other players are around for you to play against the server seems to set you up in a match with only AI opponents (I suppose the reasoning is any game is better than no game). Bit annoying as the whole point of multiplayer isn't to play against AI but meh.
