The title isn't totally correct in that I am not truly leaving this community. However this is my last day with Stardock and the Support Team. I am moving on into several new ventures. While I am excited at these new prospects I am sad to be going. I wanted to take a moment to thank the community for the support they have shown me over the years. Whil

If you read my post on reply #7 we can link the serial number to your account for you so that it is ready to go the moment it becomes available through Impulse. You would need to supply all of your account information to do so. We would be happy to help as much as we can until the release is fully ready to go.
On older machines sometimes cookie corruption causes the same sort of error to occur. Clearing them out is always a good and easy first try. Philly - I agree and have done the same myself. (says the guy using 6 browsers)
[quote who="Trigeminal" reply="3" id="2009179"] Quoting Odweaver, reply 2 Does impulse come with an offline backup option for the install files? Yes, there is a backup option. You can use this to backup or move files from a fast connection computer to a slower connection computer. It appears that the slower connection computer does need net access though to allow impulse to validate that you are a legal owner of the backup. I can't personally confrim this, but
That means you have dynamic dream issues instead of video issues. Try downloading and installing the file here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en
Not at the moment, there is no fix or work around. It is something that is being looked into though when it comes to system resources and the like. Considerations also have to be taken for Windows7 and the like. Please read my reply above for a small workaround on #4.
https://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/ To my understanding the trial does not yet have the XP version yet. The purchase version will of course.
Here is a good guide to look over for troubleshooting Deskscapes: https://www.stardock.com/products/deskscapes/faq.asp#troubleshooting If none of this works please provide us any additional information you might have about your system and the install of Deskscapes.
What other software is running when you attempt to run Object Dock? Did it ever run or did it just crash right from the install? If you installed other docklets or other non-standard items please try uninstalling, restart, then reinstall a fresh version to see if this clears the issue.
Please contact [email protected] with your account information and the change request then. They can verify the information and make the change for you.
Uninstall XP and FX as it sounds like there is some kind of conflict. Restart and install only the FX version through Impulse and see if you still get the same error message. You can also click on the Stardock orb and uncheck the pre-release function to avoid beta downloads.
Yes, the current version of Deskscapes can work on XP. Media Center does not make any difference that I am aware of. The trial version is only for Vista at this time though.
What happens if you disable Ultramon? We have had many issues with that software in the past conflicting with our skinning software.
This is a known issue with Vista and hibernation. Have either of you had this issue on XP? It is likely to be a system resource issue but that is yet undiscovered. I would suggest that if you are still using the task bar you place a quick launch for Object Dock Plus for easy use and the time being.
The search works but is also being worked on at this moment. The work around was coded up by one of our support staff. However if you search in a category instead of broadly for the time being you should be alright. Example: click on the WindowBlinds category and search for Ninjas to find Ninja themes for WB. This is instead of just searching on the front page.
Can you check the task manager to see what processes are currently running? Can you tell us what the cost of CursorFX is? Also are you on the latest drivers for your card?
Have you tried simply uninstalling and reinstalling Deskscapes yet? I would suggest that first. Have you ever gotten any error messages of any kind or made any other changes to your computer?
The account listed is not an account under your control. Please contact [email protected] with your account information so we can solve it for you. We see your current account information but this support discussion must take place through emails and not the public forums.
Sins is supported by IronCladGames.com. Downloading, updating and so forth is supported by Stardock. For crashes and support for Sins please contact [email protected].
Under your account I only find the listing for Twilight. You will need all three games under one account for Impulse to download/install the products correctly. If you have another account with the two main games listed to it please email into [email protected] and provide the account information. Support can then merge the two records for you to save you this hassle again.

That is correct. To simplify it even more you can can just drag the Control Panel short cut right onto the dock from the Start Menu.
