[quote who="vindKtiv" reply="6" id="2224534"] As the DotA community found out, in order to fully enjoy this style of game, you must keep certain people from your games. In style of DotA, Demigod also needs a Banlist. One intergrated into the game. So as I sit and wait minutes upon minutes for a game to start, we're down to waiting for the last player to join. A player, disliked by the host, joins the game and the host kicks him... player rejoins... host kicks

Would something similar to fallout3 / fable 2's DLC system work for you guys? Maybe a first round of free updates to include DG's and maps and then perhaps later on down the road a DLC pack with say 4 new DG's and 4 new maps or something along those lines?
Is this multiple network connection problem, as far as you know, only occuring on machines with more than 1 physical network card or can it also be created from scenarios where the machine has hamachi connected or perhaps VMware virtual networks set up?

[quote who="Xinoxlx" reply="11" id="2206184"]Alban you have to understand although this game was inspired by DoTA, THIS IS NOT DOTA. The community is different, banlist may never be needed. The problem still exists that does with it's use in DoTA, it's too easily exploited by petty people. Keep your retarded list to yourself, don't go around trying to make some global banlist, it is nothing but absolute fail. And it appears, that there is no transparancy involved with the lists either. You are already removing yourself from the list, what is up with that? So are you above the banlis
Really, so now any grouping of like minded people is being 'elitest' ? So groups like the NRA or ACLU or Boy Scouts are 'elitest' because a group of people who believe in a certain set of principles hang out together? Fascinating.
I'm still not getting how this is 'elitist'. If there are a set of rules for behavior that a group of people agree are the rules they wish to play by, and don't want to deal with people who don't agree with them, why is that elitist? If someone breaks a rule in a community, that the community has agreed upon, they suffer the concequences of that. Why? Because you need rules in a civilized society. Let'

I understand that no one will every use this site to kick anyone from a game? I understand that what people have a problem with is a banlist, a program identical to the one used in DotA? I understand that the banlist program has no way to kick a player once the game launches? <br

If alban is already this corrupt when he doesn't have anyone actually using the site, imagine how he'd be if hundreds of hosts used hi

Anyone can ban anyone effortlessly. Additionally, there's not even any evidence - there's no replays to show what happened. Stats are bugged out so you can't even prove who was where. This is a failure. MASSIVE agree. I t

It's fairly complicated. You have to watch the data coming in from the game and interpret what it means... it's not something very simple to do.
