Nice patch with some very important fixes. Great work guys [e digicons][/e]

Great news, especially about the modsupport that enables SD and the community to make maps and Demigods. Thanks for the info Frogboy!
I for one learn a lot more from playing a losing game vs good team than a winning game vs a bad team. Being able to study and evaluate why you are losing or how the other players are better is a vital part of becoming a better player. Just apply to normal sports and you see that there or not many games are walkovers once the game has started on fair terms. For me the exception to this is offcource when the game balance is lost from the start, if you have AIs on
Sorry to see Frogboy leaving. I hope he will continue his journals and make them locked so no replies can be added. That way we can still see what's on the horizon. Another way to keep talking with the community is to have a restricted forum (like the beta forums for example) that only invited people can access. These people can for example be selected based on previous constructive posts regarding problems and how to fix them in combination with a mature way of writing.
I agree and I for one still have full confidence in Stardock. GPG may need to step things up a bit but I guess their focus is on the DG demo and SC2. Also, remember that it is summer and lot's of business are working on halfspeed when often a large part of their staff is away. Guess this is why not many games are released during the early summer.
Always nice with some updates. Thanks Frogboy [e digicons][/e]
Maybe the community eventually need to start giving out unofficial community patches that fixes the most apperent typos that shouldn't be that hard to fix. This is has been done for Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. The problem with Demigod is that that a unofficial patch probebly wouldn't work for online play.
An interesting thing is how the priests are healing. Are they healing Sedna first, then themselfs or is it the other way around? If it's the second scenario (or if there is a random element to healingtarget) then damage to priests could mean less healing for Sedna.
I am still saying that a Ooze UB (as stated earlier in this thread) should have a good chance against the mentioned Sedna. An Ooze UB deals a lot more dps thanks to autoattack+ooze, slows Sednas autoattackspeed (wich is her main source of damage), ooze keeps dealing dps while UB is taking pots or being chased by Sedna. Finally the ooze effect can kill of Sednas healing minions with the ooze if placed correctly while still attacking Sedna.
I am from Sweden. Hopefully I will be able to play a bit more in the next few weeks now that the "semester" has begun in Sweden.
Love Demigod! [e digicons]:inlove:[/e] My only problem is not having enough time to play it as much as I want to [e digicons]:\[/e]
I would go for this UB build: Inner Beast 3 Foul Grasp 1 Ooze 3 Bestial Wrath 1 Enhanced Atributes 1 Items: Banded Armor Nimoth Chest Armor Slayer's Wraps Unbreakable Boots Scalemail 4130 HP, 2724 MP, 2081 armor (45,4%) Notes: Ooze 3 gives 105 extra DPS, 30% slower autoattacks for Sedna and drains 40 HP/sec from UB. The Ooze damage can ki
I agree that some system needs to be incorporated in atleast Pantheon or skirmish. These options should be optional in other tournamens and custom games for Pros. Another way to make a sort of bountysystem would be to have the gold you get from a DG kill altered by the amount of time the killed DG has been alive. Say that a superplayer hasn't died once in 10 minutes then his bount gets multiplied by for example 10%/minute meaning he is worth roughly double the gold as if he would just
Yay! [e digicons]:w00t:[/e] This game looks great! Seams to be a lot more of simulation than other games in the series. The trailer rocked and destructable buildings, wow. I suppose the trailer was ingame or could it be a render? Anyhow, I agree with Hawawaa that now they should fix a real Starwars Sim in the X-Wing vs Tie-Fighter style. Just imagine a hughe fleetbattle where stardestroyers battle it out with Mon Calamari Crusiers with supportships and tons of fighters on ea
There could even be a list where the host selects the maps that the game should select randomly from. By doing that you can avoid playing on certain maps (read Crushible [e digicons]:-"[/e] ) while still having a random "good" map.
There could be an option once the entire oposing team has conceded asking if you want to continue playing vs AIs or end the game right there.
Another important thing about communication with your team is to state your following moves. I generally don't lead much but I always say things like "returning to base", "buying priests upgrade", "going for right top flag" etc. This is especially important in a large brawl where you need pull back. Say this so that your teammates doesn't think you got their back while you are shopping for the next cool helmet at base [e digicons]:(O[/e]
Yea babysitting your AI teammates during early and midgame is very important for them not to be outleveled and not feeding the AI to much. Besides from that a combination of what most people write here is required to beat the Hard difficulty. The tournament on Hard and Nightmaremode is currently imho mostly a game of "helping your AIs" and "preventing their AIs" and not that much of strategy as you could hope. One of the most anoying things about playing on hard is that either
I would also love a new Mechwarrior game. I actually hope for two diffrent games (probebly not going to happend): 1. A simulation style game with RPG content like the earler series. 2. A turnbased "tabletop" game focusing on tactics and stragety. There was one RTS like Mechwarrior game but I can't remember it's name. Like that one but turnbased instead of realtime and much more complex gameplay. Although any Mechwarrior game will be great aslong as it isn't arcadeish o
I agree with all that you write. I prefer a "new" friendly player who can take instructions any day from a skilled "rambo style" player who does his race and doesn't help or communicate. A few nice pointers for a new player: 1. Read the strategies section on the forum. There generally is a build or two for your favorite demigod that can give you some hints and/or inspiration. 2. Get healthitems. These give you a bit more room for mistakes and more time alive =
I generally use "Staff of renewal" when playing Ice TB. As for hunting down DGs i use "Wyrmskin handguards" (15% chance to slow movement by 15%) in combo with permafrost makes most DGs easy to keep up with. Usually when the enemy DG is realising the fight is going badly and starts retreting you fire of a "frost nova" to slow them down (10-20% slower movement). Depending on their amount of health you can either keep chasing with AA or cast a "rain of ice" followed by a "Deep freeze" if
Another trap that would be so great would be a consumable/deployable trap with short casttime and that works basicly like to frostnova of TB but only affects a single target. Basicly it would freeze the DG without causing any damage. The duration could be a few seconds (enough for the traplayer to escape a persuer) and damage can break the effect. The cost of the trap must be balanced so that it is not overused and also the cooldown. This would make it possible to "mine" and entrance
Very nice, maybe SD can get some inspiration from you on how to present data [e digicons][/e]
For me multiple lanes are one of the most important feature of a map in order to change tactics during the game. On maps like Cruchible there is only one way to play it (unless using teleportfunctions). If your team are facing opposition with strong "lane denial features" like 2xRocks your team can basicly by cut of and the only way out is through the opposing team. Another feature I would like to see in maps are teleports, like the onces creeps comes from, but usable to demigods that
I have had some problems killing Sedna with probebly all DGs except for ooze UB. Once I get to lvl 2-3 of ooze the added DPS and the reduction of attackspeed for Sedna makes her not being able to stay long in a fight. I can also position the UB so that the ooze kills her minions. Another way to beat Sedna is by going Towerrock but it aint that fun and if I miss boulderroll and slam she can escpape most of the time. My general suggestion on how to kill her is to have items that
