How DARE people want to play a multiplayer team videogame with friends! Really, this whole argument is stupid. Premades only have a real advantage if they're on voice chat...and I'd argue that any modern multiplayer game should include VOIP ingame anyway, so I see that more of a flaw in DG as with premades vs pugs. It's just that the type of person who plays with friends is also more likely to be a good player (a large part because they have someone to ta

Alright. I'm one of the few, proud, yeti users. Minion builds are hilarious. The problem is that they do not scale into the very, very late game. I just came off of a very, very long game which ended up with multiple artifacts per player. The problem is that minions absolutely do not scale at this point. The effect of artifacts is huge. With Ashkandor, Sedna goes from about 150-200 damage per hit to 440 or something ridiculous like that, plus extr
Good evening folks! I've been lurking on these forums for a while and seeing the release of 1.1 ive decided to make a commitment to Demigod (based on what you have to say now), when it was first announced i was stoked for the title, a game from the creators of one of my favorite RTS games and Stardock sounded like perfection. However, the dissapointing events surrounding release inevitably put me and my friends off buying the product for a wh

Just to state the obvious: Demigod is a game about map control, not killing other demigods. Yetis are good because, combined with sedna's uberpriests and other minions, they're pretty much unkillable (since they can be resummoned, not too difficult once you get mana gear) unless you kill Sedna. Yeti builds are the ultimate in staying power. As long as you can keep Sedna alive (which isn't hard given that you have uberpriests, heal, high hp/s regen, and giant tanks to fi
While shamblers have their problems, One thing they have going for them is synergizing with how the queen plays (aoe, debuffs, etc). Yeti's don't even do this. Sure they get a bit stronger, but what value do they really have with Sedna? As a strong support caster, she really doesn't want to waste mana on a weak summon, or really any summon. Putting a yeti in combat with the idea that you can heal it is simply ridiculous, since you could be in co

That's gramatically correct. Anyway...Sedna is my favorite DG because 2K HP yetis + 24 hp/s aura + uberpriests are im
Sedna Minion Build needs mana pretty bad. Replacing minions, expecially yetis is a huge mana drain.
Not really. Yetis are tough...it's unlikely that you'll be losing them that often, especially if you use the 24 hp/s aura and Sedna's Uberpriests. Most people just don't know how to play a minion build. You can't just rush in like an assassin build.

^ pretty much the above. Same reason people dont' use minions as Sedna or Erebus or Oak.

The problem with spit is that it almost makes other skills sort of pointless. it will virtually always do more damage than Beastial Wrath unless it's late game and you have rather epic damage. Also, the final skill (Unrelenting Wrath) is better than the final skill for spit. Not sure if that makes spit overpowered or beastial wrath underpowered...but I use BR and it seems pretty effective to me.
At that point in the game, you should be dealing about twice the dps as Vengeance, and Angelic Fury means it's also AoE.
Please don't try to tell me that the AOE of Angelic Fury even approaches that of Vengeance. They stack, but Journeyman Treads give a 5% chance per hit to give you 50% speed. That's why you could get 14.

there's no advantage to being in a premade team unless you're on voice...in which case it's really GPG's fault for not implementing VOIP into the game. Even then, the advantage is small. It's just that, in general, people who play with friends are better than those that don't.

Kill the priests. It's not hard. You can attack her minions too, you don't have to just blow past them and bash her.

Okay. Getting EXP/Gold from creeps, if I've been reading right, requires you to a) Be near the creeps when they die, b) Do 25% damage to the creep ,or c) Get the killing blow. Is this true? Does this mean that I could farm lanes with minions?

If you play with minions, you are effectively screwed against any demigods with some AOE abilities.... which a lot of them already have. No. I see plenty of people try to whore AOE, and it never ends up doing much. It weakens, not kills, the army...and unless you actually attack and kill the army before it heals up again, it means nothing. Just for accuracy, the base dps of lvl 4 idols are

Firstly... Play one skirmish game (you don't even need to finish it. Just look at all the abilities and play around with the DG a bit) for every DG in the game. It's a trillion times easier to fight a DG when you know what is at his disposal. Secondly...focus your build and get gear that complements it. You said you're getting minions and skills that heal/support them. I hope you're not spending all your early cash on the minion idols and then having nothing left over..because

There is no inherent advantage one gets from playing a premade. The only possible advantage is voice communication, and even that's not a huge issue.

1. The bad pathing's annoying, but only an issue in a few spots on the map 2. AOE does precisely dick. Show me an AOE ability that can kill my 2K hp yetis (And it -better- instantly kill them, otherwise they'll be back to full health in seconds) 3. I've played against players who just run up to my army and drop an AOE. They don't kill anything. They end up running from my army the entire game. There's a reason the +minion skills and gear exists. You don't need any more skillpo
